This is exactly how I remember them looking when I first discovered Slayer, more or less. Actually KK was still wearing his nail covered gauntlet to go with the upside-down cross boots. It doesn't feel that long ago to me. Back then I couldn't imagine of one day having an endless amount of concerts and footage to view at my whim. If you wanted to see Slayer playing you either taped {on VHS} the War Ensemble and Seasons videos from Headbangers Ball or saw them in concert. That was IT! {I guess it HAS been a long time after all}
Faaark you said it... mid 90's here in Sydney... they absolutely HAMMERED!!!. What a concert. +1 ffs Lombardo will always be an animal, Kerry the beast, Tom The Legend and Jeff... Fkn Hell Jeff... Miss ya mate.... RIP. The Best band ever.....
Saw them in London in the late '80s along with all the other members of the "big 4" and can remember each gig as if it were just yesterday - I really hope that never changes.
I saw them in 1991. Pine Knob Michigan. They were carrying people out on stretchers between songs. Management kept threatening to cancel the show if people didn't calm down. But he liked his venue infrastructure intact so they never actually cancelled anything.
I'm so lucky to have gotten to see the original lineup on the "Still Reigning" tour in Moncton , New Brunswick , Canada.Damageplan opened up and I got to see Dimebag shred it up. Wasnt long before he was murdered actually. It's crazy, 3 people who played onstage that night are gone now (Dime, Vinnie and Jeff Hanneman) , A night I will absolutely never forget!
I was lucky enough to see Slayer in 1995 in Glasgow, Scotland, with Machine Head, Machine Fucking Head! as the supporting band, on the Divine Intervention tour and it was absolutely fucking incredible! I had the honor of standing around 10 feet away from Jeff Hanneman, watching him wail on that incredible Jackson Soloist. I loved that guitar from the moment I saw it, especially with the Bars of the mighty Black Flag, Dead Kennedy's, Johnny Rotten and the Circle Jerks. Those are the ones I remember most anyway, but I digress. There was not a cellphone in sight, just lots of energy and a very memorable performance by two incredibly good bands. Anyway, thats my 2ç. Be kind to each other, and make life easier for each other, not more difficult. Peace! ✌🤘
This video looks like it's from around '91 or '92 when Seasons was brand new and I was just 14 yrs old, mesmerized and seeing the War Ensemble video and also the video for Raining Blood/Black Magic on Muchmusic and learning about Slayer for the first time. These guys are just fuckin killing it here too, I love it. Thanks for all the memories, Slayer \m/
How you guys doing today... This is the start of a lovely evening hehehehe... So what it say we are going to Devastation and world ''nucleanalation''... WAR ENSEMBLEEE!!!!
The War Ensemble scream in Tokyo was better, but this concert had more energy. If you combined those two it would be Slayers best performance of War Ensemble.
Oh. That year, 1991, when Lombardo lost the double bass control :"c even so... sounds better than Bostaph's double bass in every concert of his life :v.
battlekidrules this just shows Lombardo is human and has bad days like everyone else. Watch Silent Scream live at Reading Festival 2006, Dave is a machine there.
There's actually a reason behind Dave's foot work and playing. Management wanted him to sit higher on the throne so he could be seen but it fucked with his back and had to hunch over to play but couldn't play good. th-cam.com/video/iztKjPqHnb8/w-d-xo.html
Tom with no beard, jeff was alive, kerry had hair. This is old.
+Severed 88 1991. I wouldn't say THAT old. I'd say their 1983 live videos are old
and tom's using a BC Rich bass
and tom was head banging like crazy

it seems like yesterday when this album came out, I had it on tape, no CD yet, yea old as shit....Oh wait we all are getting old !!
Check out the Tokyo live version of this. Nothing will beat that War Ensemble scream at the beginning.
You ready for waaarrr!
Donnington the best
I also think tokyo is one if not the best intro scream ever recorded by tom 💪💪💪
You're right. Killer opening
@@josec6112 Donnington sucked because of Bostaph's weak drumming.
What a privilege it was to see these guys in their prime. 27 years later and I still remember like it was yesterday.

Hell yeah! I saw them 5 times in LA between 1985 and '87.
Saw them in London in the late '80s along with all the other members of the "big 4" and can remember each gig as if it were just yesterday - I really hope that never changes.

No matter how many new bands i find. Or what i listen to. It always goes back to SLAYER.
Me Too
"This is the start of a lovely evening...so what do you say if we're going to devastation and world nuclear annihilation?" Fucking Epic
This song is insane normally, and they're playing it slightly sped up lol. Crazy.
This is probably the track that pushes Dave the furthest but he's playing it 10% faster than usual. Wild
This is the start of a lovely evening hehehe
- Screw cross fit. Just do the Lombardo for 15 minutes a day for a week and lose 15 lbs.
No wonder he was so skinny.
Virgilio Marques I've lost at least 5 lbs after playing slayer songs. It's a freaking workout
Fun workout for sure. Even if you cant stay in time 🤣
It should be an app!!🤘🤣
He would play like that for 90 min straight.

Late 80s into early 90s slayer was the fucking best

Slayer without Dave Lombardo is not the same band.
Few can rival the energy seen here!
Archspire
@@HardKore5250never heard of em
Only Sepultura in 1990 could match them
what a lovely sounding guitar solo!

I'd say 90 cause by 91 Tom was already letting his beard grow.
I knew it's an old recording because Kerry King has hair
Trospher and eyes instead of permanent sunglasses
Its impressive how it sounds so close to the album version
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR ENSAAAAAAAMBLEEEEEEEEE
SECULARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Feel so blessed to have seen them live so many times. There will never be another band like Slayer!
With no sound filters, this is raw and and fresh as MTV's foregone unplugged
Damn I wonder if they have more videos like this from their prime days
2:12.... awesome \m/ R.I.P. Jeffrey
Tom still headbangs, classic..
Best live vocal version of this song
gods of music
Best music for running
I have seen this. I just watched it.
this song is rlly difficult to sing and play, you get no break from screaming. Difficult to breath through the phrasing, what a genius tom is
saw them on the reign in blood tour in 87 : whoooosh - they were a million miles an hour back then.
Saw them at The Shrine in Los Angeles in the early mid 90's. Swear this is from that show.
Thank you fot this!!!!
❤ AWESOME
Kerry’s solo so evil they had to censor it.
It’s caused Kerry raped his guitar, tv couldn’t show that
😂😂🤣
How you guys doing today... This is the start of a lovely evening hehehehe... So what it say we are going to Devastation and world ''nucleanalation''... WAR ENSEMBLEEE!!!!
Kerry with his upside down cross boots lol.
Peace,Love and SLAYER
The War Ensemble scream in Tokyo was better, but this concert had more energy.
If you combined those two it would be Slayers best performance of War Ensemble.
94 in mesa AZ with Paul. they crushed any version ever done. and your soul
Fukn A ... them drums sure are siiiiick.
The good ol days man🤘💣... 🔥
Slayer make the rest of the "Big 4" sound tame, haha, so fucking badass. Tom Araya doesn't get enough credit as such a badass vocalist....
If try to sing that song like Tom does, i'll run out of voice before the chorus.
Princess Mellanie I love this
Yes
I want that bass
Where and when was this ? Looks like Seasons In The Abyss tour.
THAT was a wicked tour #RIPHanneman
Slayer fucking rules!
Dave on drums, war ensemble was on seasons, figure it out genius
Keau Lana Kapule They played Angel of Death too, you can't tell the year by the 1st song
Keau Lana Kapule yeah either 1990 or 1991 tho this doesn’t look like America so i guess 91
ah music to my ears!
VEVO, you forgot to blur-out TAMA branding :V
it was already on the DVD this comes from
Secularrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr !!! where can I find this whole concert on a single video ?
Old and fucking kicking all kinds of ass
awesome.
У Керри титановые шейные позвонки и вместо мозгов подшипниковые шарики.. После такой тряски башкой он выжил, и радует до сих пор😂🎉🤘👹!
0:24 that scared the shit out of me when I had the volume up 😂
EINFACH GENIAL DANKE
Censore of shirt
No free advertising
90's
if this is the clash of the titans tour at the NEC it was fucking unreal and i came out pumped to the eyeballs on adrenaline and deaf!
It’s old but always kicks ass!
What Sick Version
Guau 😯😯

Love this
That Kerry King guitar is sick

Kerry Cocaine, Jeff Alcohol, Tom Weed and Dave Tombardo.
Which show

Oh. That year, 1991, when Lombardo lost the double bass control :"c even so... sounds better than Bostaph's double bass in every concert of his life :v.
FUR ack check outwar ensemble live 1992 in Donington. Bostaph was awesome then. Lombardo is better but not here...

Paul sucks at drumming.
@@David-bo5uc and you suck as slayer fan.
why are their shirts censored ? is there insulting shit on it ?
Paul Arias Copyright reasons, most likely.
Tom: Miller
Kerry: Raiders
Fuckin rad!!!!🤘🏼
S L A Y E R . . . ! ! !🤘
что на свитере? почему замазано?
young kerry looks like the character from brutal legend. they probably based him off kerry
