She is an amazing woman ❤ I took my mother to see her a little bit before the world found out about covid-19😉, she was 83 or 84 ye ars old at the time. Still blew us away 😊
The first time I heard her voice was not even 10 years ago. It was a video of her singing Amazing Grace (my favourite song). I had heard of people bursting into tears when hearing a voice that moved them, but I had never experienced it myself. Then I heard her. Now I understand. Perfection, absolute perfection.
Elle chante en direct en plus ... Rien n'est au dessus... merci l'équipe 'l'amour en héritage '' '' plaisir d'amour', par Nana s'il vous plaît PS :Elle te ressemble beaucoup Dominika
I wish she had or would do a Masterclass in singing. I know she did one in Canada during last tour…. I fell in love with her voice and her way of singing. Like you said it looks so “effortless “ . I wish I had been born before the 90’s so I could have enjoyed listening to her in her prime in person! ❤
There's just something about a dark-haired woman in glasses, am I right, Alexei? Multumiri. But this, of all I had heard from her, was her most transcendent performance, or channeling of the Muses, I have yet to hear from her. She is so great and in so many tongues. A world treasure.
A little background history of this concert. Nana was somehow rejected by Greek club/stage owners because of her looks in the beginning of her career. She was a bit fat, didn't have moving confidence on stage, sung with eyes closed mostly, her hands wrapped behind her back, and eyeglasses made her look worse they said. So, when the opportunity came, she tried to leave Greece. And that's pretty much how her international career took off. She later lost weight, but she was already accepted as she was in France and Germany. She made her eyeglasses her signature and worked very hard to learn languages. She had a bitter feeling for Greece and although later she recorded Greek LP's, she never appeared to sing on stage again. When the 7 year military coup (1967-1974) ended, democracy restored. In 1984 was the 10th anniversary of that democracy and the Greek government asked her (who was already an international successful singer) to come and sing to celebrate the event. And that was her first time singing before Greeks in 23 years. She was very nervous but emotional too.
Her voice is unique, angelic. Nana Mouskouri also recorded the haunting Bach/Gounod version of Ave Maria, which I like even more than this lovely version by Schubert. Mouskouri recorded the Bach/Gounod version twice - first at the height of her career with a very 70s arrangement with drums and guitars, and later, in a more traditional arrangement with piano and string orchestra. Both recordings are spine tingling.
Part 1 of that concert she sings Leonard Cohen's 'The Guests'. It is the best version of the song I ever heard. Apart from the voice...the dramatic moves and fantastic backing. Love to hear your opinions........
MARIA KALLAS , NANA MOYSCHOYRI , DEMIS ROYSSOS , VICKI LEANDROS are the best GREEK artists ever Performed all over the world... All four AMAZING ARTISTS with AMAZING VOICES
Nani is a well known ,beautiful singer & I love your reactions. On a tangent, for some reason you don’t seem interested in reacting to one of the best soprano’s on the planet. Is it because she is a soprano? I’ve requested three times for you to react to Amira Willighagen who has taken the world by storm. She is now 19, but I again refer you to when she was a mere 10 years old, singing with the famous orchestra conducted by Andre Rieu. This video has now reached 80 MILLION views, so don’t you think it deserves a reaction? The details are as follows: Amira Willighagen singing O Mio Babbino Caro with Andre Rieu . The venue was packed with over 10,000 people who rose as one to give Amira a standing ovation. I live in hope because I love your reactions Cheers Graeme

I saw her then too, but in Canada. And yeah, she can hit some notes that many singers would not be able to.
Nana is the best! Thank you for your review! I saw her sing in person! What an enjoyable evening with my wife!
This is my favorite version of this song. It’s so very beautiful. Thank you so much for bringing this back to my life
My Dad was a huge fan and I remember seeing her when I was 10 in the mid 1970s. I can still remember sering her, she was fabulous.

I love Nana... her voice is featured prominently on the soundtrack of my childhood.
