    9:30 You do realize that Lucifer told it to everyone, right?
    That doesn't mean they ALL believe him.
    Ella put it together piece by piece over the years. And only her would find out on her own because she is a smart cookie.😇

    • @Bakuru
      @Bakuru 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Exactly. In fact, no one did. And Lucifer knows that. He may always tell the truth, but he wasn't always forthcoming before, because he didn't understand the importance of it. If he REALLY wanted to show her he is the Devil, he could have. And now that she's aware of everything, she knows that too. He definitely counts as someone who kept it from her

    I read other comments and nobody mentioned that Ella has trust issues. Her last boyfriend was a serial killer. It changed her.
    After finding out just like she said she wasn't shocked about the fact that it's all true but about the fact they didn't tell her. She felt betrayed. And if you feel that way you wont go to those who betrayed you and simply ask them about it. She also felt left out since everyone else around did know about it.
    I think she drank a lot on purpose to muster the courage to confront them about it.
    I liked that the appearance of that frog was what set her off on the path of discovery.
    I liked how she had given them hints that she knows even though they flied right pass everyone.
    I personally think that the anger some people felt over this story line was not about the story line itself but toward everyone around Ella for letting her down like that. And they did let her down despite the reason they give her later.
    Overall in my opinion it was an appropriate way of bringing Ella up to speed before the end of the show. She was the last one of the main cast to find out and if they dealt with it by one simple dialog between Ella and Lucifer it would be too easy after 4 and a half seasons of waiting for that.

    Ella's storyline this season is one of my faves of the season, the fact she worked all of it out on her own was very her and even though Lucifer had been telling her that he was the devil doesn't mean she is going to believe because he could've easily shown her but he didn't, it's like when Chloe & Dan found out, they couldn't believe and did some things they aren't proud of, unlike Ella who was actually more upset they just didn't let her in on the secret which was true to her character

    Ella is amazing. Chloe, Linda, Dan all of them recognized celestial, because Lucifer and Amenadiel exposed their divinity.
    But, Ella recognize them by inferring. Clever, Amazing.

    I actually believe that it makes perfectly sense that Ella didn't confide in any of them since she found out. I mean, no one bothered to really tell her and let her in on all the crazy celestial stuff. That was a deep betrayal to her which made her feel excluded. So I understand why she would keep it to herself. Personally I love that a) she found out, b) all on her own like the smart woman she is and c) that her reaction wasn't similiar to Dan's or Chloe's reaction. Being upset about being left out while everyone else knows is just so Ella. Therefore, the storyline felt realistic to me.
    The Adam part I could've lived w/out but I love how we have one last realistic drama from Maze and feeling the satisfaction of her finally, FINALLY evolving and not falling backwards like she has over the course of the season. That I liked a lot and it only made Eve and Maze stronger together.
    Overall, I grew to like the season more. I also think it's a bit slow but I'm amazed at how well they made it work with the pandemic and all. I miss the humour in this season - it's not as funny as the other seasons.

  • @countingtls
    @countingtls 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    My personal take on why Ella acted as she did is because of what happened to Charlotte and then the following Pete debacle changed her faith considerably. Ella didn't know anything about what Charlotte went through and the whole Goddess possession business, all she knew about Charlotte is she was trying to turn things around, but right at the moment of trying to change, she just died very suddenly. We saw the effect of that leading to her doubts, where the following downward spiral ended in the most horrific way and Ella had to face what she felt for Pete, and her "darkness" inside her. And I think although Ella regained her faith a little afterward (especially after God's visit), it had changed to a dark and cold world where the light is dim and darkness everywhere.
    And Ella did ask Lucifer about it at the beginning of this season. As she already began to have another crisis after Dan died and asked whether God was still up there. But Lucifer's replies could be interpreted as he already excludes her from any meaningful answer, along with no one had told her anything in years and believing the world is about to end (Lucifer and demons walking on earth are always associated with the end of time), must mean the reason why they didn't want to tell her is because she belongs to the condemned souls.
    Ella didn't want to share to anyone has more to do with her not wanting them to be true, even though everything seems to indicate they are. And even if the answer is false, then since Ella always questioned her own insanity due to Ezreal, it would mean she is crazy (which is probably even more frightening). Ella is caught in a very hard place, and she believes whatever answer she would get isn't going to end well for her.

    I couldn't disagree with you more about Ella. To me her finding it out on her own was very her. I loved that storyline. Also the reason why this season was slower than the rest like you mention in part 1 or 2 is because they filmed this season during covid. I loved this season and it's actually my favorite of them all ❤ I really like the slower and more intimate feel.

    I can understand Ella's feeling about being the only person among the group who didn't know the truth. But if you see when Linda found out she got scared and shut Lucifer n Maze out. When Chloe found out, she too got scared, ran away, forgot everything she knew about or used feel about Lucifer and fell in trap of the priest who convinced her to poison Lucifer to send him back to Hell. • @israymervalentin-arias6313
    @israymervalentin-arias6313 3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    Well just like Rory Trixie most likely asked Chloe where is Lucifer and why did he just disappear? I am positive that not only did Chloe tell her the truth but also told Trixie to purposely never talk about him if Rory ever asked her because it wouldn’t be right that Trixie has so many memories of Lucifer yet Rory has zero. The most Trixie ever said about Lucifer was he was a good person and left it at that which would make sense for Rory to ask like a 13-14 year old Trixie why does she like him so much to fish out more information.

    • @oxanatarashchuk4598
      @oxanatarashchuk4598 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It makes total sense now, when we know why he wasn't there for his family all the time. She could tell Trixie when she was old enough for that (maybe 16-18 y.o) and Rory was still a child (4-6 y.o, because at the time Rory was born, Trixie was 12 not 14; previous season Trixie was only 11, and not much time passed, most likely few months after that).

    Dakara, I understand how you feel about the Ella situation. But one thing that might be responsible for her uncharacteristic approach to learning the truth is that she has had a rather important crisis of Faith recently. Not feeling that anyone is listening to her prayers anymore can be devastating for a believer like her (just assuming here, I cannot actually relate). Anyway, it has shaken her to her core. And the fact of being left out of the inner circle of those who know, has really hurt her feeling... Plus her observations about the world seemingly ending... The combination of all these things has made her lose a bit of her optimism and openness. She is not really acting like herself right now, but it should be somewhat understandable.

    4:36 she said she wouldn’t go there, he commented he would be if she changed her mind, and then he got caught up in helping Eve and maze…
    So it’s not that he didn’t know, it’s that he got sidetracked and in his character, if someone says they won’t do a thing, then they do and he isn’t there, it’s not like he knew he still had to when something else occurred…

Dan's story line this season is amazing heartbreaking and beautiful seeing him go from hell to earth but not know how to get to heaven being stuck on earth seeing his daughter but not being able to hold her or talk to her seeing her pain of losing him and being helpless to help her so heartbreakingly sad and almost every time they show Trixie I end up crying and Ella finally learning the truth and eventually telling everyone she know but feels left out and not trusted. Amenadiel becoming a cop and seeing the corruption in the police and trying to fix a broken system and so much more amazing stuff but that's still coming.....

    There is something I just didn't thought about before... At the end Ella is using a microphone. Lucifer, Chloe and Rory left the room and they heard her very loud when she started talk. Then I don't know how far away the toilet was when Carol went to dry his clothes, but there is no way he didn't heard at least a part of her speech. Maybe not all of it, but when he returned he didn't come out of nowhere - he hadn't teleported back to join Ella's side. Because of the microphone he has to heard at least that part about world ending.

    I'm not sure Ella was 100% until the wedding. And asking Lucifer wouldn't help in any case--he'd say yes even if he _was_ just the world's most method actor. As for asking Chloe--would Chloe say yes? Everyone else melted down when learning the truth. I suspect Chloe might get evasive, rather than risk watching Ella go through that. In fact, who's to say she didn't _already_ ask Chloe? As for Ella being blurty--yes, she is, but she _can_ play her cards close to her chest when she thinks it's important enough--for example, almost nobody knows she has a "ghost friend."
    I admit I had a few doubts about the way Ella's story played out at first, but after I thought about it more, I decided that it more-or-less works. (And in any case, it's hardly the biggest hole in the plot. Not by a long shot! ☺)

    He told Linda from the very beginning, it wasnt until he showed her his devil face before she believed. At any point, Lucifer could have showed Ella proof. Thing is, she was the only "believer". Once they told her the truth, she was no longer a "believer" she was a "knower" and that does change things. Faith is built on belief without proof.

But this is a final season after all. Plus this story with Adam and Maze's worth issues. But I'm happy that it worked out really good. I love how Eve evolved, in s4 she didn't believe in her future with Maze, in this season she was first who believed despite everything.
    Wedding scene was beautiful, wovs were perfect, especially that f -bomb from Maze 😆
    Deckerstar with Trixie already felt like family that lived together not only few months but years. Rory with her abandonment issues and childish jealousy was just like her father. I was worried when she told that Lucifer wasn't near Chloe's deathbed, that's what caused her anger. How was that possible?

      I disagree with you Valcor. How many cases has Ella literally brought up things no one picked up on? She is a problem solver and her being able to pick up on all the weird things over the years got her brain going which is true to her character so the fact that out of everyone in this series she solved this case of the celestials alone and with no help from anyone is true to form.
      With Rory yeah she comes off as petty and doesn’t want to give Lucifer a chance but that’s to be expected from a dad she has never met once in her life until she went back in time AND on the deathbed of the woman he loves he didn’t even show up. She’s looking for reasons to justify her hate for him for all of her life and a huuuuge blow to her would be your older sister who is in no way blood related to your father has had not only more memories but precious memories like game night. That’s a kick to the gut which would make anyone who felt abandoned jealous when your sister got all of this special moments and you got ZERO of ANYTHING.

    I liked many small moments, I love the characters so I didn’t mind spending more time with them, but I didn’t care for the season as a whole.
    It’s like when you eat too much of one of your favorite foods but a trashy version and now you’re full as fuck and asking yourself why the hell did you do that.

    Maze / Eve is still a dumb plot line. It seemed contrived when they came up with it and they have done nothing to change it. Maze / Dan would have made more sense; there is, at least, some character crossover, but Maze / Eve there is nothing.
