I own a computer store .. and do this everyday .. you did a great job !! Steve was like Turn Me up Butters !! I have cabling Ocd syndrome .. It has to be clean.. it's all about that airflow and presentation ... Great troubleshooting too .. it really helps to have spare parts to swap in and out .. That little guy pc probably gets super hot. I had that same case h210 with. 2060 super with about a finger of clearance underneath the card and mine would get to about 80c on a cold day

Pro Tip: plug in your CPU 8 pins before you mount your cooler radiator due to the space limitation. I have sausage fingers and can never manage to plug those in once the rad is mounted. It's much easier to push the cables down if needed once they're plugged in vs. trying to squeeze your fingers and the connectors in there.
That was awesome! I like this content. We all learn as we go, I like seeing the hiccups along the way, and we learn together. The ending was the best knowing how much work is put in and knowing that hard work pays off at the end.

You put the NVME drive in the wrong slot. It’s suppose to go into the one closer to the cpu. Directly under it. I guess he won’t feel it too much, but the speeds will be limited. Still a dope ass build!

Hope you're doing fine, liked this video a lot, but why did you took the z490 out for a z390, and the i7 10700k for the i5 8600k?
21:38 about not losing power during BIOS update: Some boards, I believe have some safeguards / features that allow recovering from that without junking the whole board.
My board, for example (ASRock Z97 Extreme6) has dual BIOS chips, so I could switch to the backup BIOS if needed. Also if that were to fail, the BIOS chips are socketed, so I probably could theoretically order others and pop them in. (Although considering my board is a wee bit older, availability of those might be an issue.)
I don't think I can link a picture of my board (showing the socketed BIOS chips) so I tweeted it to you, in a reply to your "yall had such.....here's a before&after pic...." tweet. :)
In the pic, the pencil is pointing at 1 of the BIOS chips (the other is to the left, and there's a BIOS selector switch below the BIOS chip on the right). (Oh and about the 970 Evo just hanging there in the M.2 slot without a screw ... I ran out of M.2 screws/standoffs, or lost some idk which. Both my M.2 screws are in use in my laptop, holding in two (1TB & 2TB) P34A80 NVMe SSDs. I'd normally have an EVGA GTX 1060 3GB SC in the top PCIe x16 slot helping hold down the 970 Evo, but a while ago I was having some issues with display cables & things, and right now it seems to be working running off the 4790K's iGPU.)
I looked up the board you used (ASUS Prime Z390-A) and while I didn't see where the BIOS chip is, or if it's socketed, the manual mentions something about Crash Free BIOS, implying to me that with that board it's possible to recover from a corrupted BIOS, I think with a USB stick or something like that.
As for favorite PC game ... most of the games I like are older ones, from the 1980s and 1990s, maybe a couple from the 2000s or so. I've been playing Team Fortress Classic a lot (released 1999), and once in a while I play Fortress Forever (2007 - would play it more if more people played it - often I'll jump on, refresh the server browser and literally NOBODY's playing) - that's about one of the newest games I play. I have a few newer ones, but haven't had a lot of time to get involved with them much.
Seems like a big destiny fan. Awesome for you to do that. He looked so happy lol.
