Have the same one. It does feel a bit heavy at times, more like a GT car. But it does sound insane, the trans is beautiful. Hitting the rev limiter is a real experience. Paired with quattro and s-tronic, it doesn't miss a beat. Definitely do not wish I got the m3 or c63. It's a different game altogether.
Lovely car. Beautiful simple design. I would only change the steering wheel. And for 20k wow. Only problem is when there is a problem with the engine it will get expensive. Thank you for the good review, God bless you
Sadly here in Indonesia they still go for about 100k usd (RP1.45billion) and also there are only 2 in Indonesia.. although I found one for sale and it’s been on sale for 5-6years, the owner took care of it. I can’t wait to get my hand on one in the future… my dream car
Would love to see a fuel consumption test on this. The previous chassis B7, would get around 10-11L on highway, on one video between a RS4 (B8) and M5 (E60) wagons, the RS4 got 8.5L/100km driving 110kmh... the M5 got 11.2L/100km
I actually was sooo close to buying a B8 RS5. Here in the US, they really shafted us, the RS5 came with no adaptive suspension and no DRC, so youre stuck with kinda harsh sports suspension, for me in a big city the roads here suck and I like to be comfy sometimes... But I was sold on everything else. Its a shame, but i love my F10 M5 anyway, its ok!
I think the C63 and M3 are considered more fun and exciting to drive while the Audi is a bit more boring. I like all of them but the RS5 probably the most because I own the S5. Maybe I will upgrade to the RS5. Also, in my opinion the interior on this one is so much nicer than the M3 and C63 from that era. Those seats are beautiful.
@@bm_wuratli6883 horrible in what? the engine itself is bulletproof unlike the M3 and the C63 which both will have big engines problems with high km like head bolt failure and road bearings for the M3, the timing chain problem have been fixed with this engine and the S5, apart from regular maintenance high-pressure fuel pumps and injectors this engine is solid.
So many videos about this rs5 and still comes bs video makers :) First of one- rs5 in good condition, nirmal milage (under 100k.km), with proper maitenance history price still is high everywhere in the world. In Eu for a good example fl model prices starts 35+k.e, check your self market. 2. The m3 e92 is slower then this, the m4 quicker. 3. The rs5 is more pure gt car, not like m3 or c63 toys for fun and the quattro system gives u university. 4. If u like more soft feel on steering wheel, u should drive diesel toyota not a pure sport gt car :D And as Im rs5 owner, for me the best videos about cars is owners videos as those vlogers, who barrow for a day a car and making content are always with a lot of bs and more like for youtubers kids 😜
I had the face-lift version of that RS5 and although it's a slick looking car, the interior made me puke everytime I went in... Too much of those black plastics and non elegant design... The infotainment with that orange colour... The looks of the buttons... And very chlostrophobic aswell... I sold it very fast and no regrets... I need my interiors with a nice and airy elegant design! BTW if I'm not wrong I think there was some quality problems with that 4.2
Ahhhh the beautiful Timing chain guides that don’t tell you anything to let you know it’s time to swap it out then pulling the engine out for $4k job 🤦♂️😭
@NudaMan the worst thing is that you can't find spare parts because they don't produce them anymore, so you're stuck with your engine-out and sitting for weeks (best case) and hopefully get something from another scrapped car.
As I mentioned before, my friend, I really do love your videos and the way you express yourself, but you don’t know how to drift))))) PS you do not work with car’s weight distribution
sounds like shit not like e92 m3, audi never know how to do exhaust properly, the same like rs6 with v10 sound like someone farting after hot challange, not like e60 v10
It is not cheap. U can find for those 20k.e just high milage or after crash or without proper maintenance, witch means huge bill, rs5. Yes of course pre fl models are oldest ones and cheaper then fl rs5, but for a good example of this audi price still 30+k for cheapest.. more likely 35-45 price tag..
Had one of these with the resonator removed, insane sound.
Timeless car

An S5 & C63 would be a deadly sound combo especially straight piped lmao
It actually is the performance of a GT car, the A5 as you know 👍
I have one in my collection. Be prepared for big bills...but it's very addictive! Very hard to not be sensible with that V8!
Same chassis A5 2.0T costs 20K here in Greece damn. Some people are lucky. Same spec cheapest RS5 is 40k here and it has 180.000kms
Damn bro that's hectic 😭😭😭
dont compare saleries 😂
That’s wild, I found a 09’ S5 6Spd manual for $8500 USD w/131k miles lol
just import from germany
@@markoilic-g5o Greek market taxes cars over 2000cc by a lot and its a yearly road tax.

This 4.2l rs5 is on my radar serr.

Very good and rare car ! 8200 rpm v8 , it was a gorgeous era !
Swap for wider tires to minimize the understeering . 275 are perfect.
Picked mine up about a month ago, couldn't believe the price it was going for. 17.5k gbp with 40k on it 😮 fuel economy is mildly horrific however
This is peak Audi.
This is too funny, I just found a 6 Speed S5 for a good price! And this video appears shortly haha!
The 911 was flashing at you 😂😂

What is your fuel economy on s5 and maintenance cost?
@@cassiopeiconever checked but so far haven’t had issues. It does use alot of fuel though. The 3.0 V6 is very reliable from what ive heard.
if boring means just because u stay more on the road planted without being tailhappy..im sorry, change the brand. this is what audi means.
@jdeejaxGmbH i agree, i like how audi drives but alot of people consider them boring to drive compared to bmw/merc
Aziz please do a review for a tdi version of those for those who can’t afford a v8
Aziz Best Man in the game !!!!
He is the slowest but the interior quality is so nice, much better than c63 and m3
Haha, my 2015 A5 2.0T can burn through 15l/100km easy too.
And some oil as well 😅
Yeah fuel economy on my A4 2013 ain't great either. But mine doesn't lose any oil, even tho it has 200k+ kms.
Get the facelift version and you’re ready to go👌🏻
Peak automotive
Please drive a BMW Z4 E89. With the right engine and non-runflat tyres:)
is the engine reliable?
Spend loads on maintenance to avoid spending even more on repairs
yes.
horrible that why depreciation are down alot cuz it's too much expensive* except if u are mechanic go ahead*
V8s are always more expensive in maintenance. More spark plugs, more oil capacity, chain gets loose, you have to drop the engine to change it.

Wonderful car, just way too slow for what it is imo
the e92 m3 isn t by any means faster in straight and on track the rs5 is faster. check times
