There is this running joke amongst school children that you always have a headwind when you bike to school and during class the winds change so by the time you are going home, you'll have a headwind again... Its just that you never feel a tailwind so you dont really notice it. So it does really feel like when you notice the wind, its always a headwind and therefore in your mind, you never catch a break.
