Here it is! Brofest 2015 in all its glory. In this video we'll hook up with Gregg from Arcade Impossible and Shawn from Arcade Outsiders and head up to Funspot and ACAM for a weekend of crazy fun. We held a classic arcade tournament the weekend of May 29 and 30 up at Funspot in Weirs Beach, NH. It was truly epic.
Thanks to everyone that showed up and made the event what it was. You guys rock!

I'm glad everyone had such a good time. I heard it was a blast, unfortunately, I fell extremely ill and spent the last 3 weeks in the hospital. I hope to be healthy enough to get there next year.
Seriously this looks like a great time, just guys from all walks of life chilling, having a few drinks and enjoying the lack of judgment that others might cast on them. These are the reasons why I LOVE going to comic cons and look forward to free play FL this year!
Watching this video for probably the 6th time. I live an hour from Funspot, met John a few times. I remember when this video first came out. It was a great time in my life. I remember being way into arcades, the Arcade Outsiders Podcast, Funspot, etc. Life is good now, but different. Watching this video is like going home. Thanks for the memories, John. John can you give some tips on how to start hobby like yours
I actually went to funspot once and it was amazing. I hope I get to go again soon. I had so much fun playing space harrier the sit down game and got to play the tmnt game that I decided to play it until I beat the game and I did. I was also able to play the dragons lair game for a bit but next day I went it was down so that was a shame. I actually played that zombie game it was kinda cool.
Re-watching some John's Arcade classics, and forgot about the "arcade bodytype" thing. lol
A cabin, right next to a bar? Ideal.

The little score tags on your machines made me think. I wouldn't suggest getting rid of the tags, because they're cool, but you need one of those scrolling LED signs to put the high scores on.
This was a great video, just like the last year's Funspot video. I really would love to go to Funspot, but it would take a very long time to drive there - I live in Charlotte, NC. I would've loved to see the raffle winners and see what prizes you guys were giving away.

I work in IT marketing and business development and many companies now are realising that these You Tube channels have a lot of followers. Sending you a phone costs them next to nothing but it gets them marketing coverage. Cool prize John.

The obsession with the cabinets and artwork starts to grate - for me it's about the game, the gameplay, and the electronics :- esp. the early stuff. I personally don't care about the cabinet as long as the game works.

Shawn looked so miserable the whole time. He was quiet and looked angry for some reason. You would think he would be happier going to one of the coolest video game events ever. Maybe he was sick? I don't know. Just a frown on his face the whole time and quiet no matter what you asked him. Oh well. At least the rest of you seemed to have a good time in spite of that. What a downer.

man yeah I wonder if those King of Kong guys get a lot of that after being in the movie? :P I looked up Pandora's Palace and I'm watching it and the music was super catchy, sounded very Konami-esque... sure enough I rewound to the beginning of the video (since it went by so fast I didn't see) and sure enough, their name was on the title screen! I'll definitely fire that one up in MAME later.
My NEO*GEO dream picks though:
Fatal Fury Special (was definitely the SF2 Turbo of the FF games)
Metal Slug 2/X (personally wasn't into 3, that whole 'gaining weight' mechanic just slowed the game down imho)
Aero Fighters (probably one of my favorite shmups on the NEOGEO) any of them are great really
and yeah definitely one of the Bust-a-Move/Puzzle Bobble titles probably 2 or AGAIN either one.
