3 years after this video was posted I ordered myself the same crankset from Amazon for $50. My set came with an aluminum crank arm bolt instead of plastic and spacers for the bottom bracket bearing cups so that you don't have to put spacers directly on the spindle to correct the offset. It appears they're evolving lol
Thanks for your review. I just discovered your channel today. The funny thing is. I'm running the same IXF crankset as 1x11 for about 1 year now and I'm super happy with it. It replaced my old Shimano LX 3X8 system. This was probably one of the best price/performance upgrades I have made. The only thing I changed was the plastic M19 screw. I replaced it with a aluminium screw.
@@akilapt9748 You can buy a crank puller to remove your square taper BB, then just look up what hollowtech BBs will work on your year and model bike. Or just find a bike shop that will pull it for you, might be same cost as the puller. Installing a new hollowtech BB is very easy, just remember that they tighten towards the cockpit of the bike. There's many videos on TH-cam for it. Your square taper may be stuck on there really good too if it's been on there for a while like mine, spraying it with some penetrating oil and letting it sit overnight with a couple reapplications of the oil will loosen it up. I built up a used 2016 carbon Norco Range enduro frame on a budget back in 2018 - I used a brand called Gineyea for the Press fit BB and Headset.
