    Laser Cleaning
    Laser Cleaning is simply a beam of light, with no electrical interference, aimed at a piece of metal. No air pressure, no chemicals or abrasive consumables are used during this process of removing rust, oxide layers, weathering residues, paint and contaminates from surfaces with little or no impact to the original surface. Since no particles are propelled through a beam delivery system, there is little or no noise during the process and no mess to clean up afterwards. This process gently removes the contaminant material without harming the underlying substrate and can be performed wet or dry.
    Laser Cleaning is well suited to a wide range of industries, which includes such widely differing organisations such as: Aerospace, Automotive, Bake, Conservation & Restoration, Construction, Energy, Engineering, Government, Manufacturing & Fabrication, Marine, Medical, Tooling & Mould, Nuclear, Pharmaceutical, Print and Flexographic, and Transportation.
    Laser Cleaning is ideal for removing micro-scale to large-scale cleaning of a large number of contaminants ranging from; post-weld oxide layers, rust, carbon from baking tray, adhesives, varnish, oil, grease, smoke damaged equipment, paint, ink and mould release agents- to name but a few of the materials we remove daily using this process.
    As there are no cleaning agents, all of the removed material can be collected with a light vacuum and the whole process is extremely clean and portable. This makes the system highly suitable for industries that require a high degree of hygiene - the food and electronics industries for example or working in confined spaces.
    Remember with laser cleaning there is:
    • NO masking,
    • NO chemicals,
    • NO abrasive consumable,
    • NO blast cabinets
    • NO grinding wheels,
    • NO noise,
    • NO dry ice blasting and best of all
    • NO mess to clean up afterwards.
    • Running costs
    o Low power is €1-2/hr
    o High power is €5-10/hr
    If there is merit in applying this process, in a manner that is environmental friendly, affordable, cheap to run, portable and requires minimal training, then laser cleaning ought to be considered as a substitutional or complementary method of cleaning.

      This is a laser. Basically you point and press the trigger. A laser beam litterally zaps the soot off, gentle enough to run up and down your hand without any damage, yet strong enough to remove soot, rust, paint, general contaminants graffiti, etc..

      you can change the shape to anything you wnat, as long as it fits under the working envelop of the beam, i.e., 150 x 150mm for the short focal length lens.

    I've seen videos of laser cleaning removing paint from concrete.
    How come white paint doesn't get removed from wood? Was it because it was white.

      Darker colours are easier to remove. that is more of a guide than a rule. Its the same principle that in hot countries, all houses and cars are painted white, while in colder countries, oka you don't see too many black houses but plenty of black cars ! have you ever see a black BMW whiz thro the Sahara Desert or downtown Dubai ?

    • @jokers7890
      @jokers7890 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@laserlips101 Depends on the specific situation. For clothing, black clothing is actually better in hot sunny climates and that is why Arab people use black robes and head coverings because it keeps them cooler than white would (opposite of what you would think I know). For building surfaces which retain heat, it is always white. They even paint mountain rocks/tops white to cool down the air and make it rain in countries like Peru (no joke).

    • @LaserCleaning
      @LaserCleaning 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      it depends on the chemistry of the paint

  • @ferraricribs
    @ferraricribs 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Typically, white paint reflects laser beams instead of absorbing them, and therefore, it is not removed during laser cleaning. In contrast, if the door were brown, the paint would likely be absorbed by the laser and subsequently be removed. A similar principle applies to car primers, where the efficacy of laser removal may depend on its color and absorptive properties.

  • @yves2348
    @yves2348 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I don´t get it, it removes rust and paint and bondo and whatever off a car, but this white paint stays on ?

    • @LaserCleaning
      @LaserCleaning 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Simple the paint reflects the beam. There are no absorption coefficients in the paint and hence the transverse wave length of the Laser is not absorbed and simply reflects off the paint. Elementary my dear Watson
