It does still work, it's only water resistant But I think it has it's place though. I'm hoping to get out and do a overnight. I work full-time and I don't have a lot of time to do overnights right now specially with the holidays this month. My next overnight will be the winter overnight in Wisconsin. I can't wait🤗. Thank you for watching and commenting
Much better starters out there. Make your own char cloth, P&J balls, etc. Or buy quality fire starters that will ignite with all sparks/matches/lighters. A survival fire starter should not need a lot of prep to light.
It's not to bad. I think it has it's place. It lights fine with a lighter though. Me personally my favorite fire starters are cotton petroleum jelly wrapped in duct tape. Best man made fire starter their is in my opinion I did a video on it in the past. Called Mr. Rays ravillios. A subscriber of my told me about them and been in love with them ever sense. Thanks for watching 🤗
good review Scotty. good to check it before testing it out in the field. i havent been able to go out this couple of months either. we will see next month probably i will hit the mountains !
On a scale one to ten its a 5 .it makes your hand dirty to use it.there a few diy that work better wet.i think the wax slows the heat. That size chunk no wax dry would be one hot cole.
Hey Glen 👏. It's definitely interesting concept he has going. I've never seen it before. I'm going to still mess around with them though. I still love my Mr. Ray's raviolis though. They the best thanks to your tip on them. Hey hope all is well, and your doing great.
I just don't have the time to do overnights right now specially being a holiday month, but I'm with ya I'm ready for another overnight, but my next overnight won't be until we go to Wisconsin in a few weeks, but it will be epic and after that we will be doing winter overnights. Thanks for your patience and I hope you understand🤗
Never messed with charred cloth. I carry cotton balls soaked with petroleum jelly as a back up when everything is wet. My fire kit has a ferro rod, weatherproof matches, cotton balls and a bic. The bic is the primary fire starter. Not super cool but it works. The point is to stay alive/ enjoy myself. Most of my time is spent enjoying myself rather than surviving 😅
I understand. I don't use char cloth much either. It's a interesting concept he has going though. I the petroleum cotton balls are the best. I add duct tape to mine, and when I need to use them I cut a slit on top and it takes a spark with ease. I made a video on them a long time ago called Mr. Rays ravillios. Thanks for watching as always 😎👍💯
Good review Scotty , thanks for sharing YAH bless !
Thanks Michael. It's not to bad. Thanks for watching and God bless
Send that garbage to the DUMP Lol 😂 - was looking forward to a over night but hopefully next weekend

I don’t think this deserves another review 😩😩😩 camping video would have been better, especially after waiting two weeks

That was a nice review on that. I would have tried scuffing it up a little on the end that you cut maybe use the edge of my knife.
Thanks James. I will keep that in mind. Thank you for the tip. I am going to continue to play around with these firestarters. Thanks for watching 🤗
Ive used charcloth. Keep some in my "survival" stuff. Raviolis are the way to go. It
I do like the raviolis absolutely🤗💯👍
