Thanks. Looks way to recreational for it to have been in Regent Street Salvation Army in Downtown London England. One ought avoid _swinging the hips_ it is too lady-like, rather than uniformed Salvationist. o0o
Not enough timbrels. They could all be holding at least one more timbrel. And I'm sure there's an audience - Why dont they have timbrels? All my homies in red are sitting there, timbrel-less. Don't even get me started on my dude in the sharp dark suit who creeps on in the end. Where's his timbrels? I'll bet he has a stack at home that he could have lent out to people. At least at 4:10 the Zip-Up-Jacket soldier-for-The-Lord at far left looks like she's holding two, so that's nice. A-
I was bought up in the salvation army so am well used to seeing the timbrels being played. Many years later I do question the meaning and purpose of this display. Does it bring Glory to God. A lot of hard work working with these girls but to me is looks so silly. Some of the moves are comical!! Sorry to be negative but to the outsider I am sure this is not going to bring anyone closer to salvation. Wonder how W Booth would react.
I wouldn't worry too much what any outsider thinks, most of them are slaves to the unbiblical music of today. I don't know anything about timbrel but I am studying what the Bible says about music and came across this verse *psalm 150:4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.* I was impressed by this video, much better than the compromising drums and guitars used by many Christians today.
I always understood that everything in the SA was to bring glory to God. Without the uniforms these could be showgirls. However, they are good at what they do but I feel it is pure entertainment.
I'm proud to be a salvation army from Nigerian territory ❤🎉a thanks to our father William booth and our mother catering booth ❤

Elliot Levine, it’s Three Kings Swing, by William Himes. I don’t know if he was inspired by the piece you mention.
