What a fantastic march through London; quite a marathon! I especially empathise with those who had heavy instruments. It was very encouraging to see people applauding, and one man saluting! It show just how much the Army is liked and supported. I would have dearly loved to be in such a parade, however, my age and multiple health problems forbade it. The video really lifted my day, Thanks. (BN)
A few years ago I saw a Salvation Army Band march down Regent Street with their Colour at the front. Fearless in their faith and a dashed sight more useful than the Oxfams and whatnot.
Awesome video! Great march, bought back so many memories. I often wonder how many times Regent Hall Band has been photographed or videoed in the central streets of London - probably millions! What a witness!
Dear Mr Baton74, thank You Sooo Much for all these inspiring and lifting Band videos❣️👏🏻❣️Am an 80 yo , retired BS,RN in the US and find myself coping( sort of) with my many own medical probs these days….on the worst of days I turn on many of your YT videos and they truly are a gift of comfort. Great Britain and Her Commonwealth have to be so very proud of ALL the great bands and the entire military compliment ( horses included) They are # 1 in the world IMO❣️❤️Please stay and strong for the rest of us❣️🇺🇸
Thank you for your very kind comments, I'm so glad that you find these videos comforting and enjoy watching them, your comments bought a lump to my throat, perhaps I don't always fully understand how much they are appreciated as I am fortunate enough to see these events first hand. Please take care.
Great video! Absolutely love the Salvation Army Brass Bands! Apologies for the incomplete list! Would've loved to hear "The Red Shield". The marches played were, 1) 0:01-In the Firing Line 2) 2:58-One by One 3) 9:34-??? 4) 13:22-Spirit of Praise 5) 18:36-The Emblematic Flag 6) 22:59-The Wellingtonian My apologies for not providing a full march list, I only could recognize two. If anyone knows them please feel free to comment them!
Thank you Delvin, that's two more than I knew, and I was in the Salvation Army when I was a little lad. Hopefully someone will come up with the missing marches. 👍
Will show this to a few of our Salvation Army players and see can we get a few more. I have one of hteir mrch pads in front of me and wouldn't know where to start
@@MrBaton74 You're most welcome MrB! Thanks for the videos! Yes, sadly only two this time 😄. That's awesome, was Sir in a Salvation Army Band? Or in the Salvation Army in general?

My grandad and my great grandfather was the colour sergant at idle bradford . Me tried them all i have now come home. Great music praise the lord
Wunderbar. Welche Freude als wir vor vielen Jahren durch London marschieren durften. Jetzt sind wir leider zu alt. Aber die Freude bleibt in Jesus. ❤❤❤
I love the way they turn the corner in unison. I love the Salvos. Back 8n the 50s Mum and Dad took my sister, brother and I to listen to the band. We would then match to the Citadel, with my little sister playing on her toy tambourine.
My grandfather, grandmother and father were members Salvation Army 2 nd Corps, North End, Port Elizabeth, South Africa. I remember marching behind the band with my grandmother as a child (five years old) RIP, Isaac, Joey and Bert.❤️❤️

No 3 is The Flag of Freedom
Thank you for that information.
Didn’t hear one hymn tune played. What happened to witness of gods hymns
There is No Sound like a Sally Anne BAND,
No snare or cymbals... 😢 But Well played
Neither are used in Salvation Army Bands.
Why concentrate on the front of the march - the rest of the marching group is just as important!
