  • The 2019 Emek Hefer Open took place in Israel over the weekend of March 15th & 16th, with both domestic and foreign swimmers alike taking to the pool to get some racing under their belts before national championships begin kicking off around the world.
A small Hungarian contingency also competed at the Emek Hefer Open, including Kristof Milak. The reigning World Junior Record holder busted out a time of 52.67 in the men’s 100m fly. He’s been as fast as 51.50, the 3rd fastest time in the world, en route to gold at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games.

This reminds me of C Ronaldo struggling to speak English while he was in Man United 😁
Btw, just dropped in here after Kristof Milak won Gold Medal at Tokyo Olympic 2020.
He is not only a good swimmer, but good looking as well 😍 liked the way he spoke English...so cute 😇

It was the first interview I saw with him in English and to be honest I expected worse, after he said he wants to improve his English because he doesn't speak it well. Many students around his age speak the language worse than him. English education in Hungary is quite weak and many people don't really speak the language well.
Well he beat Seto and Le Clos and also broke the WR in 200m, not just break it but destroyed it. Dressel is a different category in 100m, Kristof finished 4th with 51.26 this time.

@@peenhead9938 I think he speaks better now 2 years later. But he still refused to answer questions in English at the Olympic Games. I think he is a bit of perfectionist and doesn't want to make big mistakes when he is tired/lot of media asking him questions etc. He talked about it just yesterday.

@@nadav2495 The younger generation is better at English but the older people don't speak the language.

Please guys, spare him from the struggle to come up with the next English word, and let him go back to the pool and break the 1:50 barrier for 200 fly.

Why the government? There are plenty of English teachers in Hungary. And by the way, he is already an outstanding champion.

He needs an American chic so his English can be as smooth as his swimming😜
