Actually, a video about the inconsistencies of the warrens stories sounds really interesting. I don't know much about them other than the basics and a more logical side to the stories sounds fun. I hope you'll consider making a video like that 😅

The Black Shuck was actually the third conjuring movie that he was planning to do. Back in 2017 or earlier or later, i remember reading it saying how excited he was about the Conjuring success and that the Warrens have a lot of cases he’d like to do movies on. One in particular is about a werewolf and i love werewolves. That’s what he said .
It made me actually go look that case up because even i was intrigued . The actual guy did a live interview.
I hated that this idea was scrapped and instead they went with “the devil made me do it” which i find a major lackluster.

Same. The monsters encountered in Annabelle Comes Home would've actually appeared in a Conjuring movie if it wasn't for the executives ditching James Wan for Michael Chaves(director of La Llorona and The Nun 2/Next To Nun) to alter the initial concept.

For the record, the legend of Black Shuck originates from Bungay, Suffolk in England, and I work there. If you visit the town, you will see a lot of shops and signs about a 'black dog', but the original account was that the creature burst into the church, jumped at the priest, wrapped it's claws round his neck and ripped his throat out. To anyone who knows animals, that is not a canine attack - it is a feline one! This is likely due to when the Romans occupied Britain, they hunted with black panthers, and when they left, the panthers were abandoned there, so a few roamed the countryside for years, and likely carried out the attack that gave birth to the legend of Black Shuck.

I mean technically the oldest account of black shuck in the uk or at least the oldest that is connected to black shuck and not a different hell hound comes from Peterborough from 1127 but by far the most well known especially in Suffolk is Bungay and obviously you can still go and see the door which definitely helps with the legend, I live 15 mins from Bungay but my nans from Bungay so basically grew up there 😄😄😄

I grew up on the legend of Black Shuck since it's very local to where I live, and the most fascinating part about the myth is the burn marks it left against the church door at Bungay. It's not something that's just word-of-mouth - it's actually there for visitors to see. Absolutely incredible.

Honestly, the first time I ever heard about the Black Shuck was due to to The Beast of Noor by Janet Lee and The Hound of The Baskervilles by Sir Arthur Coyle, so getting all this extra background on the monster that haunted me for half my childhood is great. Where I'm from in the UK we call it The Barguest. An old fisherman's folklore is if you hear The Barguest howl you're it's next victim. My parents used to get me to go to bed on time by telling me I needed to be asleep before The Barguest came out. Bit cruel but it worked! 😂😂😂

I can say as someone studying the paranormal, most of us take the Warrens with a large dose of salt , they were caught playing up stories of their encounters and on some cases they were told to leave , yet wrote about that they helped the people. Even if they did run into real paranormal stuff they tended to add to it so it would make a good book

@@MakaveliBanks whether they lied or not, is really irrelevant at this point. They’ve both already passed away and have a movie franchise out about them. I believe Lorraine even said in an interview she didn’t care if she was believed or not and only wanted to bring awareness about the paranormal. Before the Warrens or the Amityville story, there was really no mainstream interest in the paranormal. So if that was their goal in addition to making some money, they succeeded 🤷🏽‍♀️

I didn't realize that this was specifically about a series at first, thinking it was a documentary of the real world mythology, so for a second I was like "woah woah, black shuck/church grims are not the same as a werewolf".

I think the scariest one to make a movie on wood be that giant wooden demon figure in that museum❤

i know you usually do modern horror films, but could you do like an older horror film series? like wicker man, salems lot, the exorcist (1 and 3), prince of darkness, the thing, i could go on and on.

I wonder if the truck drivers tales of the Black Dog are somehow related to the tale of the Black Schuk ?
The story is if a truck driver sees the Black Dog , he is fated to soon die in a horrible wreck .
