I’m very new to this collage process and I see that there’s a lot of preparation that must be done before you can begin placing cloth in any formation. I love all of the color variations of yours. After watching you I believe it will be awhile before I can start 😕. Your work is marvelous and I enjoy your comments as you go. Thank you so much for sharing your time, talent and knowledge with all of us. I can’t wait for the next video. ❤️
Thank you so much for this wonderful video I've been slow stitching with you and other girls for 2 years now and I keep learning more and more I can't even believe it you guys are awesome I love how you buried all your things in the earth and I'm such an earth girl as a landscaper I have to do that this year I really do it's so lovely and I love dying fabric as well so thank you so much for the blessings that you share with us and watching your stitching helps me so much because I'm pretty Helter Skelter and I love watching you do it so beautifully I'm really going to get down and do it right this next project I have so thank you for inspiring me God bless you
What a wonderful tribute to your Aunt. She must have loved you in exactly the right way, obviously very nourishing to your creative soul. I am feeling that having someone, or something to represent in a journal is far more meaningful than just a book of 'look what I can do'. I am loving all the wonky edges of your pieces, as they are. Your example of not jumping on the scissors till your happy with where it's going, is gold. Thanks, Kathryn.
Never thought of a wrap before. But love the idea. So I will definitely give that a try. Thanks for all the inspiration in all your videos. I hope you have a lovely time with your kids.
Those rusty marks look like a constellation. I’ve been making a fabric collage on a meditation strip, and I realised that it’s very like the paper collaging in slow journaling. Looking forward to getting home to make a start on this journal - I simply have the basic signatures so far…
The wrap is beautifully done! I need to get mine out and work on it. The holidays have slowed down my stitching. Always inspiring to watch you work!🌹🌹🌹
On New Years Day I will be retrieving my cloth from the earth...it is so hard to leave it and not go excavating right now...such suspense! Thank you for today and for every wonderful video of this year!
Our electricity is kaput... But there is always an upside to a downside. Crotcheting by candles and enjoying the fire and a very early night! I can make plans too. I have my covers and I am stewing some cloth and papers. I feel my early years have returned. Mud play and stitching in my wigwam. Lots of love to you. ❤.
Very nice! I’ve used bees wax and had great results. It’s been awhile so i think i need to revisit the process. Thank you for the fabulous tutorials; you’re much appreciated! ❤
I am one of those ones Kathryn so I am trying the tea and rust and the onions skins and I am liking it. Maybe down the road I will try the ecoprinting. Hope your Christmas went well with the children.💕
Well this wrap was a big surprise, and I must say it's a lovely idea not to mention all the fabric you have is gorgeous ❤ Eco printing is something I'd like to find time to do next year, for now it's going to be just tea dying and the waxing 😅 Thanks for all the wonderful inspiration you pass over to us 😊 Take care 😘
With all the wonderful madness of this year's holiday season, I haven't been able to do more than the bare minimum with my creative journal. However, I'm quite excited about this new venture and look forward to making my signatures, etc., with what I've gathered so far. These videos showing phases I haven't reached yet are so enjoyable and helpful. Thanks! 🥰😊
So gorgeous already!! I love your process, always. And of COURSE we would watch you stitching without talking, how could you doubt it?!? I mean, we already voted for grocery lists... 😂😂😂 I hope you are doing well and feeling well, too 💚💚💚
Love how the diagonal line of the lace flowers echoes the diagonal of the black circle prints. I always think of many comments, amusements, and responses as I watch. Sometimes I feel like making a list of time stamped thoughts as I watch, to make sure I actually post the best one 😅
The process of making a collaged wrap reminds me of kawandi Kathryn. It's beautiful. I have an old book that I want to protect and your wrap idea will be perfect for it. Thank you so much for the detailed explanations! ❤
I really enjoy watching your process of making a journal cover. I stitched onto my ecco printed fabric (gum leaves and wattle) and rusty things etc. Made a sort of collage with small squares of fabric stitched onto the main fabric of the journal. I am now trying to figure out what to do for the spine. My little fabric bundle is ready and I also have my tie for my journal and a couple of small bits and pieces tea dyeing as we speak overnight. I recently bought a wax seal and want to try it out in my journal as well. Thank You for sharing with us.
So beautiful, I enjoy your creative process, it feels so relaxed, free and in harmony... I´m learning a lot with your videos and forgot the stress that machine sowing makes me feel. Now I know that I can just grab needle and thread and make things with my fabrics and a few moments. So much fun! Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Best wishes for the new year💝
I should be slow stitching. It would give me peace during this new upheaval in my life. Long story short, I’m moving again for the sake of my beloved niece. Jan 1st isn’t coming soon enough. My book is all set to go. ❤

Thank you, Kathryn. I have finished my cloth tales book and look forward to stitching along with you in 2025.
Hope you’re feeling better. I’m looking forward to creating and sewing with you again this year. So much to learn!! Thank you!!
A lovely wrap. 🩷 I would love to see a video on the process of waxing photos😊
I will try to schedule it into the new year, I definitely plan on doing it more 😉❤️

Such a lovely idea of photocopying photographs and then waxing them.

I just love hearing the clock ticking in the background, it’s very soothing ❤

Wonky is Wonderful. I am a slave to the Needle, a weaver of the Thread and a Caresser of the Fabric. I cannot help myself - it runs in my veins.
That's a wonderful list of things to be ❤️

So amazing I was hypnotized...sitting on the boat waiting to leave for Crete from Athens ❤❤❤
The wrap is looking really beautiful, I can't wait to see it all stitched.❤

Thank you Nancy, I am seriously tempted to see how a video of me reading a grocery list goes down 😂❤️
@@k3n.clothtales I'm here for it!!!!!!!!

Beautiful fabrics!
I really enjoy watching you decide on the placement of a piece of cloth....😚 Andrea
I love this part of adding waxed pictures and lacey bits.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this, and am going to try waxing some paper: the vellum effect is very cool. ❤
Thank you to you!!!!
Beautiful wrap👍🧡💐
Love your thought process and the way the cover is looking ❤

I am so sorry for the upheaval, wishing you peace and strength during the process and lots of love ❤️
I love it.❤
Love your dyed / rusted fabrics
Lovely, I think your model is the same girl, I have used her image as well, she was a popular model in I think the 1920’s.
Lovley to watch your process. Thank you so much, Kathryn. ❤
This is fun
Beautiful work as always!!!
The corner piece of lace is reminiscent of a moth wing.
Too much for me bird brain ❤
I am sorry 🦉☺️
👍💖🙏
Please tell me if you] put righting on and put something on the top to cover the print.
I will show you in the next video ♥️
Did you use a laser printer?
No just a regular Inkjet ♥️
Can't see the stitching
