Thank you for doing this again!! I have tried this and I still am obsessed with the cakesbylala gold drip, she paints her chocolate! But mine never looks like hers! 🤪 I will try this technique again, maybe I just need more powdered sugar to make it thicker!! Your drips look so pretty! I definitely prefer that metallic gold! 🤩🤩😍😍
Yes, her gold drips are amazing!! ✨✨✨🙌🏻 This drip technique definitely takes a bit of practice, but yes, add more powdered sugar, the thicker the better for sure! 😘
What about using chocolate melts with the gold Sweets and Treats?? I don't think I've seen you use candy melts or white chocolate bar like Ghirardelli. In sure there's a reason for that. Doesn't work as well? Help please! That's for your videos. They help me make better decisions on my choice of product. ❤
Unfortunately candy melts and chocolate melts don't give it the right consistency. I wish it did though! For the luster dusts, they need an alcohol based liquid or sometime acidic, that's what makes the gold shine. I hope this helps answer your question! ✨
I think I'm going to try it! I do have a question about the extracts. Can you taste them? You mentioned the lemon worked best. Is there a difference in consistency between the extracts?
Hi Chaleese your good drip video is a life saver. Doing one in a couple of days. But it's hot here. Will the gold drip be OK in fridge for a day or will it bleed please.
Does the coke have to be room temp or do we chill it first? Because I usually keep in fridge after I ice it to harden up. Do i have to let it come to room temp before I start drip??
Thanks for sharing this tutorial. It’s the first time I manage to make beautiful metallic drip using your instructions
You’re welcome! 😊
You can use vegetable oil only mixed with the luster dust as well
Yes, I tried that! Wasn't the biggest fan though. 😉

Can you use vegetable oil? I saw another video of equal parts dust and oil
You can try it! Let me know if it works!
Thanks for giving important information .👌👍💐💐
Thank you!!! Thanks for watching! 😘😘😘
Hi, do we have to keep the cake in the fridge prior to do dripping?
Yes, a chilled cake is best.
This looks so delicious
Thank you!
Can u use this method on a fondant cake ???
Yes, definitely.
Can you use vanilla extract in place of lemon?
Yep! Clear Vanilla Extract.
Have you tried the sugar art products .. theirs are FDA approved completely edible
I haven't tried Sugar Art yet! I do know they have edible ones too though!
Can u use dipping solution instead off lemon? X
I haven't tried that yet? I will have to try!

Absolutely it does!! Lemon extract it is! Already ordered my Sweets and Treats for a birthday cake in making in August!! Thanks for responding❤
Hi,is this method okay on a black cake???
Yep!
Does your layered cake have to be cold?
I like it to be a bit chilled before I add the drip. ✨
Can you do a tutorial using gold drip on whipped cream icing?
I will add it to my list, and give it a try for sure! Stay tuned!!
Does it harden? Like a chocolate drip or does it stay wet?
It doesn't harden as well as ganache, but it will firm up!
I used lemon extract but the oil seeped through… 😓
Do you use a specific lemon extract?
It's all about the consistency! Keep trying! ✨
I think I'm going to try it! I do have a question about the extracts. Can you taste them? You mentioned the lemon worked best. Is there a difference in consistency between the extracts?
Personally, lemon extract is my favorite consistency wise! Good Luck!

I made this cake on a super hot day here, if you get the consistency right, it will be fine in the fridge! Good luck! ✨💕💕
What if I don’t have lemon extract
Clear Vanilla extract will work too!

A chilled cake would be best! ✨
Cool video, can't wait to try cake decorating!
