yeah.. pledis literally dropped the bomb. they were EXTREMELY EXTREMELY popular, i mean like they were rivaling blackpink at the time, but pledis just literally horribly promoted them then just STOPPED. absolutely NO reason fifi, no scandals or anything, pledis just stopped promoting them and disbanded them. it was one of the biggest tragedies of kpop. they had some of the BEST choreo and discography. you have GOT to listen to black widow.

My feelings exactly, I really thought pledis would have treated them well and promoted them properly,seeing how well seventeen was doing at the time AND it’s not like it would have been hard to pro,one them because they’re so good, but they really failed them, and you’re right, what a tragedy it was, really.

Self produced song, won rookie of the year, absolutely talented. But wasted by their agency. I was a huge fan of their title track wee woo and we like (not a big fan of Get It Music Style, but its a good song).
Sungyeon, was a member of PRISTIN and also the composer and the songwriter under the agency goes by the name "Shannon". One of Her Recent song she composed was Wa Da Da, the debut song of Kep1er.
That's why everytime i heard Wa Da Da, i feel some 'PRISTIN' touches in it.

i was OBSESSED with get it when i first got into kpop, it made me realize that was good good music
i recommend u another pledis 2nd gen girl group called After School, since you've been getting into some older stuff. After School is absolutely legendary, some of their iconic songs are: first love, because of you, bang!, diva, ah. They also have a sub-unit called Orange Caramel and they're the print for quirky kpop.
i'm so happy watching this video and i'm also in tears because i miss PRISTIN so much. They deserve more. Pledis company caused the group to disband. I hate that.
Wee Woo is one of my favorite girl group debuts ever. It just hurts every time I think about them, because they could have been the nation's girl group...
Plus, Get Is is my school example of girl crush done well.
I think a lot of people (or at least people with taste) regard “Get It” as one of the best and truest girl crush songs in kpop. I often see it mentioned in concept videos.
Pristin is one of my biggest traumas in my 22 years as a K-pop fan (I started following K-pop in 2001). They were my #1 group even above Loona (this was when Loona was still amazing, during the Jaden Jeong era), and then out of nowhere they just disbanded, and it's right after winning the rookie of the year award too, as well as having multiple members who were on Produce 101, including two that were in I.O.I. To date, none of the members disclosed any details about why, except that it was something they all agreed on and then went their separate ways. They also so Pledis did not mistreat them, and it was something related to some of the members not wanting to continue.
Pristin was such an amazing group, because all of them were songwriters/musicians, and they ALL participated in the productions of the songs. When you look a the credits of their songs, the members' names are everywhere. One of the maknaes, Shannon Sungyeon Bae, actually wrote We Like and a few other songs in their discography. A few members later tried to redebut as Hinapia, but unfortunately that group didn't last either because soon after they debuted, the pandemic hit and they disbanded: th-cam.com/video/K_qrsewuTwo/w-d-xo.html It was heartbreaking because when they debuted as Hinapia, they cried on a TV show and talked about how devasting Pristin's breakup was for them, and they wanted a second chance, and soon Hinapia disbanded too.
One thing I loved about Pristin (besides their talent), is how versatile they were. They could do every concept, from cute, to fierce, to sexy, and totally pull them off flawlessly. And their music was unique and compelling. Here are some recommendations to check out:

Pristin's music and performance just have some much life! The liveliness looks very natural and engaging, not forced or rehearsed. Every member has a unique charm, yet they perform so well together. I miss them😭😭😭 I can never become so into a girl group again.

Legit best vocal I've ever heard in Bae Sungyeon (Shannon). She was better then 99% of idol singers at like 16. Look up her Desperado performance. She's cute,, super pretty, sassy, smart, and speaks english.

the blonde in wee woo was my bias in the group her stage name was Yuha, after disbandment she redebuted in another group called Hinapia with 3 other members (Eunwoo, Roa and Rena ) and a new member (Bada) but unfortunately they also disbanded shortly into the covid pandemic.

Seungyeon, one of the vocalists, is still in Pledis but she works as a producer now! She wrote and produced for Kep1er's WA DA DA, Woozi's Ruby (and she's the female vocal at the end), and Fromis9's Airplane Mode, Rain's Why Don't We. She also wrote and produced on Wee Woo and We Like
THE WAY I TELL U "WE LIKE" WAS /THE/ SONG FOR ME like!!!!!!!!!!! I used to not vibe with the more cutesy concepts but man pristin was literally thE group who made me love that genre/concept. I was so upset when they disbanded!!!! Also man when Get It dropped, there were SO MANY covers of it, especially considering kpop covers weren't done at the scale that it is at today -- it was such a hit. They didn't just have potential, they were already building a strong track record and YET :(

My favourite youtuber reacting to Pristin in 2022 🥲 Pristin had one of the most extensive predebut projects I've ever seen (Pledis Girlz) and they really showcase just how obscenely talented all of these girls are. Yehana covered Sia's Chandelier and even to this day it still absolutely blows me away no matter how many times I've heard it. Until now I feel sad because Pristin had to be disbanded even though their potential is very big. like her brothers (Nu'est/SVT), Pristin also produces their own songs. it's just that their agency is really bad at managing girl groups. It's a very regrettable thing.
When I found out that Shannon/Seungyeon, the main vocal of Pristin, was involved in making Kep1er's debut song, I was very surprised. Because the style used in the song is arguably very well suited to Pristin's image. And the feeling of longing is getting bigger for me. Several members re-debuted under the name Hinapia (with one new member), but that didn't last long either.

I was a huge fan of IOI when they first came out and when they disbanded and went their separate ways, the members who joined Pristin had the biggest chance at success. I was so excited because they were an amazing group and i followed all their pre debut content only for them to disband for no reason. They were really the it girls in their short time together. I remember seeing member credits for lyrics and composing all over their albums and they even choreographed some of their own dances. Shannon was a big loss imo because that girl had a great voice (she was the one belting at the end of we like) and if they had stayed together i have no doubt she would be one of kpops greatest vocals
Their B-Sides Black Widow and Aloha are definitely worth a listen as well! 🤩
i love all the choreos but the wee woo one was especially good i love that song so much, and i remember the adlibs at the end of we like single-handedly made me switch biases like that bridge was just too good. the story only just boils down to pledis completely dropping the ball, literally nothing else which was pretty infuriating at the time (and still is ngl). also the one you liked w the blonde short hair was yuha

You should check the bsides on all three albums. Also 4 members of Pristin formed a group called Hinapia with the single Drip. Unfortunately they disbanded to due to the company closing. Song was amazing though.

Get It is soooo good! I was never super into them until Get It and then I was so upset over their disbandment and management issues. I'm still sad about it because this was such a peak time of kpop imo and I get nostalgic feelings towards it- though, it wasn't too long after I got into kpop, specifically when I really starting listening to and discovering more groups, so that's probably also a factor.
Ohhhhh Fifi, this hurts me. I was a High as soon as Wee Woo dropped and was GUTTED when their run got cut too short.

Have you ever listened to Gugudan? They sadly had a similar path. Their last song „not that type“ was also my fave in 2018 than they had a two year long hiatus and officially disbanded in 2020

I always get upset when I think of pristin. They were so TALENTED! Almost all members wrote lyrics and their albums were so gooddd! They had arguably one of the best female girl group rap lines, Nayeon, Riña, Kyla, and Xieyon. Who all wrote their raps since debut and had their own rap styles!
"Get It" - is my Anthem of kpop!! One of the best songs in last 10years! Not only Kpop just general! If you want a bit more Pristin girls react to Hinapia "drip" MV - 4members of Pristin re-debuted in that group - sadly because of Covid - their small company get closed and Hinapia was disband:((( after debut.

True I never did warn about it heh, other snakery from disbanded (or nugu) groups: Knk - Sunset ( masterpiece imo, to this day I feel snaked), Bewitched - Pixy (I will never stop mentioning it), Ariaz - Moonlight aria (it's not the usual snakery, but an orbit would understand. Monotree would be wildly impressed)
Ahhh so glad to see you’re acting to Pristin. I will forever be bitter about the fact that they disbanded. They really had SOOOO much potential to be so much more in the kpop world. I’m really so hurt about it to this day, really, every song they had was really good and catchy, they never missed for me.
