I had to dress more like David Wallace than Silicone Valley startup to get more people to like me. I had to let people at work know more about my personal hobbies just to get them to like me more. The crazy thing is that a guy in other team didn’t have to do any of what I did simply because his dad worked at our company. Another girl didn’t have to any of that simply because she was modestly attractive. It’s all in the game.
