Here is a future tip for the Kraken Cyclops and Wyrm. When he brings his cleaver back to do the uppercut swing, you can actually jump above it. Same for his thrust attack. The Kraken Wyrm's fire breath can also be jumped over (When it roars, aims at it's feet then unleashes fire before kneeling and spewing more fire, including it's tail whip. The Pheonix shield can easily help as this nullifies it's fire attacks, just be sure to have ample stamina.
I have to agree regretfully. Once you get the Kurimoa(?) and defeat Sodden Knight, you can get his Bulwark, upgrade it a few times and boom. NG+0 and 1 is covered.
it's all great except I didn't understand only 1 thing: why did you even bother bringing a shield if you won't use it? just don't put it on your build and it will keep you even lighter...
