I don't speak Romanian but I do speak other romance langjages and have studied just a bit if Romanian on my ow. So it was interesting to see this language in a natural setting. I was impressed by the thoughtfulness of those who were interviewed. And the interviewer is quite charming.

I speak Eng, French and Spanish and can read Italian and Catalan... this was pretty easy to understand to my pleasant surprise! A Really beautiful Slavic tone to this amazing Romance language!

I speak french, English, Spanish, Russian, mandarin Chinese and Gaelic
@@Diana-yy8kp Nah there is, you just don't know a slavic language to compare it to. I speak spanish and Polish and am learning romanian and there is definitely a good amount of slavic vocab compared to other romance langs

Multumesc mult pentru aceste videouri! Tocmai le-am descoperit si imi plac mult. Incerc sa invat limba romana deja pentru 4 ani cu cursuri, aplicatii si filme dar din pacate niciodata nu reusesc sa particip la conversatii cu vorbitori nativi din cauza ca folosesc ei multe expresii pe care nu cunosc si vorbesc prea repede pentru mine. Formatul asta cu subtitlare si interviuri „naturale“ ma ajuta mult ptr ca invat expresii populare si colocviale. Please keep it up! If you ever start a patreon I'd totally become a member for these kind of videos.

When I was a kid in kindergarten in Timișoara, the teachers used Cartoon Network to teach English. It was clearly effective because when I came back I discovered that basically all young urban Romanians speak fluent English. If you're traveling, note that there's an age gap in English-speaking. It's fairly safe to assume with many of the younger people, but the older ones who grew up under communism won't necessarily speak it.

@@petrupace4165 Mmh, I dunno, I think it makes more sense to say that Romanian sounds like a mix of those languages since it's a romance language with a lot of slavic influences.

Even though I speak 4 Romance languages plus Russian, I don't find Romanian easy to read or understand 😅
Well from a grammar point of view, it is quite harder than the german one at many points, but also just at first cause you don't know the rules (we have rules that define everything regarding it, in contrat to the german language when you have to learn the word + article by heart, for example) but it gets easier after you learn them. Romanian is after all mostly a latin language the rest of it consists of slavic (mostly) + german (also an important part) + a bit of greek influence when it comes to the vocabulary.
Tiliboss I don't speak German, I speak Russian which I imagine has similar difficulty of grammar as Romanian. But for some reason, despite my knowledge of Slavic grammar and romance vocabulary, Romanian is hard for me to read 😂 I wanna learn it now!

@@Chinookdog Russian grammar is way harder than Romanian. The bigger amount of cases in Russian along is enough to make it harder.

Romanian is my favorite romance language.
Mi-a plăcut video clipul asta! Când erau mic, m-am uitat la Tom and Jerry. Este un cartoon foarte amuzant! Nu sunt surpris că multe oameni au mentionat cartoonul asta. Este cel mai bun cartoon! Și mi-a plăcut Jonny Bravo și Dexter's Laboratory pe Cartoon Network. Johnny Bravo este foarte amuzant pentru că este foarte prost. Dexter este foarte inteligent dar are toate probleme amuzante.

Se pare că în televiziunea românească au transmis foarte mult pe Tom și Jerry până relativ recent.
cand erau mic imi place foarte mult uitam "upin si ipin" era doi copii gemeni ca marcov si înghetată hahaha, era foarte amuzant si multa actione. și am invațam mult despre viața.
0:01 I shriek when I hear "Napoca" alongside "Cluj". We, Romanians, should revise it and bring the naming back to it's former glory, "Cluj". Dropping the "Napoca" will reverse the poisonous effect of the communism on the city. (the communists added "Napoca" to glorify it in what must have been a delirious and intoxicated proceeding - something, Romania still has to recover from very much these days)
