I once made a playlist that was exactly 15 minutes long, and every time I needed to tidy I would put it on, and when it was done I was allowed to stop. This was LIFE CHANGING. Most of the time I would stop, but lots of times I would continue and clean the whole apartment.
Just wanted to come back to this video and tell you that the “What can I get done in 15 minutes?” question really was a huge game changer for me. I oftentimes find that whatever I’ve been putting off doing I can get done in 10 minutes or less using this method, even the super daunting tasks! Thanks so much for the helpful tip :)

I just moved into my first apartment a year ago, and why is it so hard to be friends with these people that live right next door!! Also your excitement over the fact that the security system is also connected to your Christmas tree lights, made me giggle :)
The best ways I know to initiate a first meeting with your neighbors is to offer to help unload their boxes on move in day if you notice someone moving in. Or if you didn't notice in time to help, bake some sweets or cook a specialty meal and bring it to them.

I’ve found that walking my dog twice a day 7 days a week is a really good way to meet some of my neighbors. I even met one of my best friends this way. Thankfully she was very inviting which is how we were able to develop our friendship.
It is a joy to the world that you're showing simple, daily kindnesses.... to yourself, your family and your neighbor. It warms the cockles of my heart.

I find it funny Chyna says drinking out of that type of glass makes her feel like she’s on the Titanic, because those glasses make me feel like I’m Jay Gatsby staring out the widow at my party. Interesting that glassware shape invokes strong feelings of being elsewhere 🤔
Similar to the how much you can get done in 15 minutes a couple on a podcast I listen to set a time to tidy each day (I think their time is 9pm) so that by doing a little amount every day the house stays tiduer overall.
My fiancee is still at the little boy bed. It's horrible, it's a futon and the mattress on it has broken in at some points and there is one spring literally poking out. It's the worst. Men are weird, their so defiant at getting their shit together in their 20's.

What I learnt - I love my computer and phone more than anything in my house, I wish I could live in this air bnb on the beach forever. I must buy cool clutter and make sure my mattress is the right side up, force my neighbor to teach me their hobby and show them I can stand on my toes like a ballerina , Do McConaugheyesq stuff. Glad ADT sponsored you, but they are a SHADY company. I just bought a house and someone called me to say that we had already bought their services when we signed for our house, which we definitely did not do. And then they tried to blame it on our insurance company, who also didn't sign us up for their services!! 100% would never use ADT. WheezyWaiter, however, is wonderful.
Ok normally I just come here for fun and bc Chyna is so cool 😎 and also I like beards 🧔🏻 but this time...so I’m recovering from a stroke I had 2 years ago at the age of 35, right after I had a baby, and believe it or not the “How can I make this experience better?” question might have changed my life. It certainly helped my mental health right now. Stroke recovery is all the terrible things: excruciating, miserable, exhausting, scary, and no one, absolutely no one in the world, can ever tell you anything for sure about if, when, or how much you’ll get better no matter how hard you work or what you do. It’s a terrible thing to experience, and you just have to go through it, with the knowledge that it’s an experience that may never end. Which is hard to take. But that simple question-how can I make this better?-just flipped a little switch. I have no choice but to be in this awful experience, but what can I do to make it better? I’ve now got this little thought burrowing away in the back of my mind, how can I make this better? How can I give myself some joy while I fight through this terrible thing day after day? It’s a short step from a bad day to full on dangerous depression in the business of stroke recovery, and unexpectedly this one tiny question I feel has inspired me to arm myself with hope. Thank you.
