    How do i make a cylindrical shaped model after already designing and making the pattern in a rectangular shape

    the content is not ment to explain the whole process, it just provides an overview idea how do it. many shortcuts in the video, and the mathematics for the hexagons are not really sound, it is a kind of trial and error.
    I found it somehow useful, the author main objective seems to an advert to his trainings

    Why not just make the circumference as a variable in the equations section, no need of external calculations, atleast not very much
