But also he undermined it and I swear I don't know what's wrong with the reviewers poking Sony all the time like showing yes it's a great phone but there is always a "but" which undermines the phone and the company. He is comparing it a vivo nex but not comparing it to the iPhone or others. The nex breaks them all.
Why the iPhone is 1000 ?? Why didn't he question that instead questioning Sony?? The iPhone failed in the water proof test.

So the extra $150 over the XZ2 gets you a 4K HDR display, Dual Camera with AUBE 12800 iso video, 51200 iso for photos, 13MP FFC, wireless charging and a larger battery... I would say its worth it
S Saini Dont forget the EarDuo worth 300 bucks that is included....elsewhere the phone without it is around 850, which is an expected price for this tech gem of a phone

Stop all that shit about the bezels ok? The 16:9 display is still better optimized for videos and games rather than the 18:9 display. And if you'd watch a Sony presentation you would realize that the only reason why Sony went for the bezels once again is for the purpose of GOOD HUGH quality STETEO speakers, instead of being like Samsung or iPhone with their 18:9 aspect ratio bezelless screens, but with a weak speaker that is firing down instead of playing videos with a sound coming at you and not in a whole different direction. So I would say that before doing you're review, first do you're homework

Sony Xperia is making the differences in international markets like Canada, Australia, Europe, Asia and even in the USA. If you see on the street any smartphone! They are always similar to each other and this is ridiculous !!!
Sony has made the best SMARTPHONES in the world since 2016 basically winning from all competitors in all tests and requirements being unique with numerous unique features and exclusive in a functional way ...

I love Sony, and especially their gorgeous LCDs, and I've had the Z5 Premium, and XZ Premium, but they really ruined the design of the XZ2 Premium. I ended up getting the S9+ this generation, but I really hope Sony fixes the design for the XZ3 Premium so I can go back. I hate that I have to use a black theme, low brightness, and careful about static on screen elements to avoid burn in and uneven degradation of the shitty OLED screen. I'm really bitter at Sony for ruining the design. If they had just reintroduced the XZ2 Premium with the same design as the XZ Premium with smaller bezels, 6gb+ RAM, SD 845, and the new cameras. Sigh...

My Pixel 2 Samsung screen seems to be doing OK. I do like the xzp screen more, but the Pixel isn't too bad. And has a good camera :)

I m a Sony user since 2011.!! I just have to say sony move towards more practical side like if a phone having an edge to edge display it is very much prone to damage. And everyone talks about features like camera design and RAM etc, I just want to say that I'm addicted to the user interface of sony its good elegant to look at and I think the best in the Android world. I"ll always buy sony because in the end what matters the most is user experience
Aswad Ali after an accident, i had to changed my phone to another cheap brand, very unfortunate. But i tried so had to customize it as close as Xperia Home. So easy to use, i miss it's user interface.

Yup... That's what I don't get.. For past 4-5 years I'm using Sony. And trust me.. Soo far I've never seen any other company phone's user interface gets as clear as Sony.. Either if it's Samsung, HTC or Hawaii.. I don't know why but every other company's phone out there has some what pixel looking icons..
I mean the user interface of Samsung or anyother brand except Sony looks like I'm looking at 2006 phones icons. I don't know why but even tho they got HD resolution display their icons still look like pixel icons..
On the other hand user interface of Sony's phone any ž series or c series or xz. Their icon, looks, user interface all looks flowlees, , clear and more on the HD icons kind of way. now I'm hooked on Sony's user interface.. Even tho sometimes I do like other company phone and wants to buy it but the moment I see thr pixel contain icons and bad user interface I check my mind about buying them..
Not mention about most of Chinese smartphone now trying so hard to copy IOS UI, shame
Tiến Đạt Vũ yaa.. That's true. and just like Sony ui apple's ui is also comfortable to look at and it do give u HD kind of icon feeling rather then pixel kind of icon from Samsung.. But the thing is I'm particularly not big fan of ios OS.. So I don't like the way ios system works.. So by far in android phones I'll always go for Sony..
And in my opinion use interface is one of the main reasons many Sony user unable to change brand..:)

The more I look at it the more gorgeous it gets. At first I thought it was ugly but now I'm in love with it
From the XZ Premium, the price bump (100€) is justified, the camera is among the top 3, and everything has been upgraded.
But the XZ3 looks like a promising upgrade over the XZ2 too, because it may have the newly announced 48MP Quad Bayer sensor.
I'll wait for the XZ3 to come out next month or later and choose between those two (a price drop would be appreciated though! Lol)
see like I dont understand sonys phone lineup. Im looking to switch from my iPhone 6s to the xz2 premium but ive also heard the xz3 could drop around august. That makes zero sense to me lmao
Parker Hudson Perry XZ3 will likely not have the 4K HDR screen of the XZ2 Premium, so it's either multimedia or camera prowess lol.
I suggest you wait until the end of 2018 to make up your mind and pick the one that's best for you.
Who knows, maybe Apple could do wonders and make you to get their iPhones this year.
Nah I hear yah but I work at best buy and I am pretty sure we are gonna get a killer deal on the xz2 premium. Im totally guessing but we usually get really good deals on sony products:) My 6s is ass battery lasts like 5 hours of like medium usage lmao. No more than 12 even if I havent used it. So im in dire need of a new phone and that 4k hdr display plus a killer deal makes me almost certain im getting it. Whenever the xz3 comes out maybe ill sell my xz2 and make money off of it and then get an xz3? Who knows

Thanks for the clarification. I am kinda use to the apple way of announcing a phone and then launching it only a few weeks later.
The conclusion is...
If I had a thousand bucks...I would choose this Titan phone over any other 1000 buck priced phone, cause, compared to what this phone offers(EarDuo included), none other 1000 buck phone is more worth the price....
And I agree, black one just looks way better with this design.

Great review! Love the new camera and the screen looks next level! Though this makes me think why doesn’t Apple or Google include Bluetooth headphones with their devices to make the price seem more worth it.
The wireless duo headphones were a preorder special and aren't even being offered with the preorders on Amazon anymore.

Oh, ok. Do you really hold the phone like that when using it at 6:30? The only reason why you feel that the finger print sensor is awkward is because you simply hold YOUR PHONE ALL WRONG. Hold the phone like a normal human being, for gods sake. At 2_28 you do for once hold your phone normally and what happens.... Yeh your unlock finger is precisely where it should be. YOu can clearly see that your Index-finger is on the right spot. Its strange no one actually can see that Sony is the only company that put the fingerprint sensor completaly on the right place, if its placed on the back. Its the other phones that have the sensor to HIGH up.
I am wondering if everyone is saying the 4K display only kicks in when playing 4k content,, then what is the resolution of the normal display when android UI is running??? Please let me know.

1 - are the Duo earphones included? I thought that was a scam one day pre-order offer that most people didn't get?
2 - "it still doesn’t have full certification for VoLTE or VoWiFi (Voice over LTE or WiFi) on carriers like T-Mobile US" - when that happens, who is at fault here? Obviously T-Mobile offers it, and the Sony is capable of it, so who is stopping it? Is T-Mobile not allowing it? Has Sony just not implemented it somehow? Does it cost Sony or T-Mobile money in some way?

I think Sony Phone is fine, however, they need to work in the design for the next models, because many people don't like it.
They will, after all the feedbacks they got from introducing this new Ambient Flow Design.

Sony was put such a strong spec in this one,such as 4K HDR screen,highest ISO in smarphone camera so far,good stereo sound speaker,good ram,good battery life,faster software than any smartphone out ther...but people still more excited with notch in front of the screen in few smartphone...😀😀😂😂😂
love for the mirror xz premium, and a good thing once you buy sony premium it up to the time for next 4 years. Samsung only now announced 4k screen. But let's wait for Sony xz2ultra. Probably they will shoot 8k screen on a 6,5" display.

Okie, this phone check every box for great flagship except ugly design and sizeable weight. Good luck to Sony for selling this though.
This should be the way forward; phones without headphone jacks should offer wireless earbuds out of the box and not just some dongle to make the overall product more compelling.
Very good objective review, great job. The key selling point of this phone over the competition is the Screen without a doubt, great quality sound through the native speakers and headphones plus its low light camera capabilities.
I knew the wireless earbuds were too good to be true... Just got mine today with normal wired earbuds only. Even though I pre-ordered the phone.
I'm confused on the fact that sony announce that the ear duo is not a bonus with the xz2 p when preorder and u have just said it comes with it, which i ordered both separately.
my only problem is the design and akward fingerprint. sadly xz3 still using this design.
