Cracking job again, lads.
Using the 6mm gravel in really wet conditions instead of sharp sand is a brilliant idea, by the way....I'm nicking that one! 😉
Its way better in every way Jim give it a go and let me know how you get on with it 👍

The joys of finding pipes i usally end up going through the lead ones sometimes but allways call 7trent to replace a copper or lead line as its free
Welsh water looked at it but weren't interested replacing it unfortunately
@@brickrightbuildinglandscaping that's kinda sad cuz seven Trent would of hade a field day with it 😅
Nice job lads, manhole 🕳️ is superb 👍👍👍

What a great result! Super job again from 'The Brickright Team' - so good to see the lads emerging into young men with skills learned from Dad. You can't do those 'push-ups' as good as your sons Justin, you've got your wallet in your back pocket! And where are the new boots? Saving 'em for best? Thanks for the upload guys!

You're welcome guys.

Looking forward to see some more 😊
All the best 👍🏻
@pawelbroniewski7100 appreciate the support and glad you like the channel 👍
Great video. Not much paving content on you tube so glad I have you fellas. In Aus we use 3mm flat bar for screed rails,no filling in required after screeding. Love that giant screed bar need to invest in one of those. Cheers lads👍
3 mm screed bar sounds interesting. Good luck to you guys in Australia 🇦🇺 🏴👍💯
@@brickrightbuildinglandscaping thanks. Can send a photo if you are interested. 🤙
@EvanBeard93
Yea defo interested be good to see it .
Nice welsh name you have

Nice
Thanks
Super tidy lads. That just clean 6mm chippings yeah
Thanks lee.Yes its clean 6mm its solid way better than sand in my opinion 👍
@@brickrightbuildinglandscaping
Superb buddy yeah must agree. Don’t really do drives. But been using 6mm clean gravel for artificial grass. In fact for mate there a mixed fine granite dust 2 parts to 4 clean gravel through mixer for 25-30mm under grass. Water flys through. Sharp sand just doesn’t move it enough. Found gravel more cost effective also if big area as the grantie dust up here your £50 a ton.
@@lmilne4859
Totally agree 👍
nice job boys xxx
Thanks Sue xx
Excellent workmanship there. One question, I always thought block paving was permeable and water can drain straight through it. If it is permeable why did you install drains? I'm thinking of redoing my patio in the summer using the exact same block paving from Marshalls and wasn't planning on installing drains. But watching this video it seems I may have to?
This system isn't permeable kevin .the marshalls priora range is mate 👌👍
Great work fellas, shame you're not closer to me, it's hard to find trades with good attention to detail.
Thanks for noticing appreciate it 👍
Lovely job guys I got one do do soon .love the screed bar . maybe one day lol 👍👍
Thanks Mark
Definitely a lot easier with the sceeder 💯👍
@@brickrightbuildinglandscaping definitely mate brilliant tool .I can not get one don't do enough of it .I have so many bloody tools lol I would love one though.if I new I was doing it a few times a yere I would definitely invest.was loving your press ups 😂👍👍👍👍
@markhep
I can do press ups anyway to fat and old now Mark 🤣🤣👍.
The screeder is a game changer if you lived closer you could borrow it mate 👍
@@brickrightbuildinglandscaping 😂.I not np for keeping fit now working is more than enough lol .I would definitely be coming to yours to borrow it if I was close .if you ever end up taking a holiday in Yorkshire give me a ring and come come for a cuppa tea 👍👍👍
@markhep
Youd be more than welcome Mark mate .👍💯🙌
bless ya with your sons at end, great to see 👍
Love em to bits Chris 🤣🙌👍
Only vodeo iv watched when 3 to 6 mill gravel is recommended for your screed ( no better advice in my opinion ) was in the traid for 26 years
Robert its miles better than sand in every way 👍
Top job has always boys you show them how it's done
As always Danny thanks very much appreciate mate 👍
@@brickrightbuildinglandscaping no worries mate have top week mate 👍💪
Out of curiosity Justin, when you put the concrete down for the pillar would you use a stronger mix like four to one because it's a smaller dollop or is it always five to one. I'm not a builder or anything but I do enjoy watching how you do things.
Hi Ricky
We used a mix of 4 sharp sand 2 -10mm chippings and 1 cement
@@brickrightbuildinglandscaping thank you 👍
Great video and good explanation on all the processes, using the 6mm stone looks like it should be stronger structurally, , what is the stone called at the local building merchants, is grano dust the same , any examples of who sell it ? Thanks a lot guys
We get it from a local quarry the merchants dont sell it .
Its 6mm chippings basically
Hiya Justin, I’m curious to know when you cut the border in like you do, do you get any movement on the paviours your cutting? Every time I try doing it this way, the paviers I’m cutting seem to move, ruining the nice straight line, any tips?
All i can suggest is the run the cutter into the bond of your paving not away from your bond hope that helps 👍
Hey mate, I hope you're well and you guys are still getting some good business. This looks amazing btw. Quick question: were you guys checking for a 45mm gap between the stone chippings and your string line before you whacked the stone chippings down and screeded it? Just asking as we are moving onto our first block paved patio in a few weeks so your videos are really coming in handy for us. Thanks again! 🙂
Kind regards,
Sam
Sam to make this easy mate .
Set your lines to a start and finish level.
If the drive is emptying the water to an ack drain id set your line 10mm higher .so basically 10mm higher all over the drive than finished height you require.
So you then measure the thickness of paving ie 50mm from line to screed layer.
When you compact the paving it will then go down by about 10mm Sam.
Hope this helps you mate 👍
@@brickrightbuildinglandscaping cheers for the response buddy. Much appreciated and very informative. Hope all is well with your work atm mate! 🙂
@GKLandscapingandGardenServives
Apart from the weather all ok thanks.same to u guys good luck 👍
@@brickrightbuildinglandscaping yep weather has been pants on our end as well lol. Great to hear your work is still going well buddy and thank you. Got a few potential biggies to quote up in the pipeline so hopefully we can upload some content if all goes ahead. Take it easy mate! 🙂

Hi Team, I've watched your videos for ages now (long before Brad left) but I never comment because I watch them on my TV while eating my breakfast, however I just wanted to say keep up the good work. I always enjoy your building videos and have learnt a fair bit from you. Keep it up!
Appreciate it Andy thanks for the continued support.
Justin 👍🙌💯
That 6mm chipping is that grano yeah?
Hi chris
No grano is 6 mm to dust we use 6 mm clean chippings 👍
@@brickrightbuildinglandscaping Roger Roger, cheers 👍
9:40 😂
Another beautiful job lads , looks amazing .
Boyos from the black stuff at the end 😏😁🧱👍🏽
Old yosser hughes 🤣🤣🤣 thanks Steve appreciate it mate 👍 💯🙌
Also just subbed as nice to see a Father and his sons working together and wishing you all do well in the future 👍
Means a lot that doea appreciate it and same to you Mr Coyle 👍💯🙌
You would be better taking out recess cover then sanding it separately as you have just vibrated sand into sides of recess cover good luck to homeowner getting that out also you should whacker plate paving first (you won't mark any type of block paving with plate and don't need sand or rubber mat to protect paving)before sanding to bed paving units in and to allow you to inspect and remove any damaged paving then you brush over kiln dried sand and whacker plate it again to vibrate kiln dried sand between joints, nice paving that good job lads I won't mention the screeding rails
🤣🤣 no dont do the screed rail thing again 🤣🤣 .We all do things differently i suppose and i respect other options no problem .Always willing to learn 👍💯
