Thanks for posting Daaave! It was a pretty extraordinary night and one for true Cure aficionados - sound, lighting, visuals, vocals, - all exceptional. Pornography is one of my favourite Cure albums so this track was a real treat for me.
Robert looks far better with a jazzmaster than a schecter, even if it's just for temporary 'nostalgic' reasons. It's how I have and will always picture him.
I get to see them in 21 days! I hope they do something special like play 'Other Voices' or 'The Figurehead' - I doubt it, the set will probably look like the rest from this festival tour... Can't expect too much from a festival show... I was spoiled by first seeing them in Sac. in '92 they played *'The Figuredhead'* and *'M'* ... so I thought that was a normal set, which is not the case... both of those songs sounded amazing that night... I wasn't as familiar with 'M' but that bassline ---- one of the best, when it drops to the low 'E' the entire venue vibrated with it... it was amazing! 'The Figurehead' was done very dramatically with Smith even wandering off the stage looking feircely morose; Perfection! I was also in love for the first and penultimate time in my life and with my girlfriend, during a good time in our relationship. Some friends (all up on 'E') drove us to the show, I swear 1/2 the audience was on MDMA - this was 1992 afterall when you could still get the real thing, not like the crash of 1996-98 when it was all just some kind of Meth, with an extra element or two attached.
That voice!
One of my favorite Cure songs. Pornography is a great album.
Mine too - hence the recording!
And quite spookily, I saw your message just as 6 Music were playing Primary!
This live is incredible. Smith sings like 38 years ago. The cure rules.
Saw them in June of 2016 and this was one of the two songs that blew me away.......the boys still have it :)
Roberts voice always seems in top form.
The best band ever..
not just the best band ever. The cure is like an incantation, an enchantment, of a homo sapiens shaman in a prehistoric cave.
@@crystalflood4803 Hahaha! Great description!
I was there! Great memories! Thank you!
I love the Cure

A pleasure Leap Year - one of my favourites also!
My all-time favourite song.
El baile de Simon amo ❤️
