Excellent speaker, excellent video. This guy can work on my heart; he is quite adept with his miniature component skills. One important point, DO NOT use metal tools. Use the plastic tools like he does, because a score through the battery wrappings can actually start fires!

Thanks for posting this! I have 2 questions: would you be able to remove the battery without removing the logic board? And if I were to disassemble the phone and replace the battery, would you recommend putting it back with adhesive, or could I just plop it in there and reassemble the phone?

always use double sided tape for safe measure. you wouldn't want it shifting around for the sake of the ribbon cable.

They should've made the phone with a plastic battery cover (like most phones) and just have the material on the cover because this looks like a pain in the ass...

can anyone help i changed my screen because i couldnt see anything on the display for my phone. but it would still turn on but the screen would be black. and so after changing it, it wont even turn on now. could it be a bad battery? the screen still wont work and it wont turn on but theres a green led that shines every time its plugged in.

i love the original Droid Turbo but this one for being shater proof screen it is scratch lover. have read that complain before i get this phone and i regret now. I have 5 phones and all of them have been in my pocket and there's no scratch on them.
On this one one day on less a month having it some weird scratch like gummy and then that area got worst. Only noticeable when screen is off.
Fell from high and the haptic feedback stopped working, removing the battery cover i saw that is a little piece that revolves but wtf man how they build this, my Droid Turbo have been such a nice phone dropped and no problem

Someone doesn't understand the reason for tool sizing. Sizes do not vary from device or tool. Sizes are a standard.

Yes, they do sometimes vary from device to device. Different devices can use different size screw hence the reason many tool kits have more then one size/type of screw driver bit. There is no rule that says all device manufacturers must use the exact same size screw across ever device.

Parts break. But the real reason is batteries eventually need replacing, and the cost going through the manufacturer is usually almost as much as just getting a new phone..
