Always a pleasure to see the towers. Naturally, they just feel right in GTA 3 and 4, adding so much to the atmosphere.
Given the time period of the plot of Grand Theft Auto 3, it feels that much better to have the Twin Towers on the Liberty City skyline since Liberty City is based on New York City. However, Grand Theft Auto 4 takes place in 2008, so maybe an alternate timeline where 9/11 never happened.
For real. I feel like ( especially GTA4 ) it should of came that way
@@scratchpad7954in GTA 4, literally everyone in Liberty City points out any foreign dude as a terrorist. If you pay attention to the news recordings on the radio or read the articles on the internet, even the gang activities that Niko, Johnny and Luis is a part of, LCPD blames it on terrorists. Everyone's basically super xenophobic cuz of... Y'know why. So the absence of the twin towers in GTA 4 makes sense.

The Old towers will always be my favorite buildings. New buildings are cool, but the old ones where more stylish.

The flickering happens because the thin lines that go up and down the side of the towers are so thin that the pixels on the screen are trying to display multiple at once the farther out you go.

Thanks! I get nostalgic too about the days of playing Gta: San Andreas on PS2 on my old CRT TV. PS2 version had that specific orange looking atmosphere. If I could only have excitement for video games again like I had as a little kid. I can still play video games now but I easily get bored.

There is a game breaking bug in GTA 4 wtc mod. For some reason if you install the mod the textures used for metro entry are gone also the collision is bugged there meaning its impossible to play through the game like that

@@Introvert_2001 hey! i installed a gang mod for gta san andreas, so i used "Spark" for my img tool, then i changed a charcters name too "bmori.dff" i went too ped editor, and it said that it will look how it should look (changed ped) then i went to gta san andreas dyom and when i found the ped it was just the normal one, how do i fix this?

i dont think the textures are flickering really, its more like, the video doesnt process it well with how thin and close the lines in the image are together that makes it look weird
You're right, the lines are too close from the distance which makes it hard to process.

I was thinking between Spider-Man and Superman but decided to go with Spider-Man which was shot in 2001. I heard it was very inspiring and encouraging for people in the aftermath of 9/11 to see Spider-Man in theaters when released in May 2002. Almost like people needed a superhero during those hard times and I thought what if he really existed in real life. So I made Spider-Man: Alternate Reality. Hey brother, the mod creator probably didn't know at the time considering the mod was released in 2003. I agree with majority of people that America's invasion of Iraq was a terrible mistake and crime commited by George W. Bush who justified it by spreading fake news about Iraq having weapons of mass destruction.
