A distinctive watch and seems well built, I like the date at 6, more people should do it. Although it's pricier than most Seikos these days there is more perceived value in this. Nice to see a brand we are unlikely to come across but for you.
That is a mighty fine watch. I find nothing about it to be objectionable - at all. Very nice color contrast. Legible hands that are not lost in the dial color. A case shape that is rather unique. Excellent material usage. Really nice bracelet and clasp. Pricing is pretty fair given the content. My only gripe is seeing this so close to Christmas and knowing that my funds are otherwise obligated. (For now.)
I have a SuperSport and it is a fantastic timepiece. It’s running consistently at +1.8 spd!
That's a nice watch, and a refreshing change from the latest Ali Express offering. I would say as a value proposition its excellent, will add it to the Xmas list.

This colourway reminds of a Farer but the case makes the design distinctly different. I really like this one and would definitely consider buying one. Pretty fair price for what you get here.

Very good review to a very good looking watch. Competition is tough at the $850 range. However, the limited production as you said does help justify the price and could possibly lead to going up in value as only time will tell. 🙌🏼🙏🏼

Jody, if it was still October and there was a "Dra" in front of the "cula" with a red dial and a bat motif on the caseback I'd definitely buy it! 👺😁 However, joking aside I do like the case and I also like the colour. A big 40/20 is ok for me and the small lug to lug will make it suitable for everyone. I need at least 40mm for my 8.1" wrist. The lume is good enough, but I wouldn't mind seeing the empty pips filled with the lume colour corresponding to the relevant bezel numbers too. Nitpicking really, but I do love fully lumed bezels. This will definitely sell out. Congrats to the designers, I think they did a great job on this. I've spent my watch Christmas money already unfortunately or I'd be buying one. Having bought a record for me, 6 watches in 2022, my wife tells me I have to keep enough money for the turkey, ham and Christmas tree!! Excellent video!
I very often read the Dracula comment, also on Watchuseek and I can tell you that I have such a watch on my list. Just for the fun of it. Still needs some years though I think.

Thanks for this nice video, Jody, I´m a great fan of how you present the things placed to our wrists. Actually a nice watch. Got two things to add: First I recognized the (in my opinion) cheap looking crowns. On one watch I needed a repair part, so I ordered 200 of these crowns for 5 Euro... Second is the cool old diving helmet on the back. It looks nearly identical as on my 500 Euro Elysee, which is a german brand too..... 🤔Never mind! Great vid, go on, Jody 👍
Love this watch!!! A question I haven't seen answered exactly; do all supercompressors require an inner rotating dive bezel with a second crown by their design? It's a cool feature but the dive bezel crown should be screw down imo.

Fantastic looking watch, definitely a solid value with the manufacturing and choice of movement. Great review of it, really appreciate the thoughtfulness and honesty - could easily consider this watch.
Not bad! I tend to not be a huge fan of the broad external bezel of most dive watches....so the compressor (style) appeals to me. Many of the internal/compressor bezels tend to NOT be one-way, or with clicks, so that's a nice touch. (Not sure I really need 1000ft of water resistance, though, so the actual super-compressor is a lost benefit to me).
Great video. I love the look of this watch. Not crazy about the green but in black/grey/orange it's fantastic. IMO much better looking than the CW, a watch brand that bores me to tears. And I'm all for a 46mm lug length. Two thumbs up, Jody!
Watchgauge which sells Circula in the U.S. has a picture showing the supercompressor set up. I can see why they opted for a closed caseback.
That's a gorgeous watch and I've always wanted a compressor style watch. But you're right about the price point being awkward. It's kept me from buying new watches at this price point because I keep comparing them to used watches that are only a few hundred more but cost 3x as much new.

frick a Swiss I want my first nice watch to be German. My lawyer is German and he’s amazing. Detailed, organized, and thorough. The language he uses to explain things is so precise and efficient I love it.

The recent Helm you covered I like in a similar way, it's got a striking dial/face with some real contrast. I like that.

What is this word you keep saying in reference to the grade of the movement... laboret? Laboray? Can't find it...
@@mercster It's a french word - elaboré - meaning 'decorated'. In other words, the movement has a slightly better finish and appearance than the 'standard' version, which is the lowest grade. Commonly, if a movement is produced in different grades there are 4 versions -- standard, elaboré, top and chronometer. The higher up the grading you go, the better are the components and the tighter the specifications -- and the higher the price.

Looks great. Has a great german tool watch look. Is tool-diver a word? 40mm without a sizable lug to lug is, shamefully, to small for me.

What do you think of the Sugess Daytona (Valjoux 7750 ETA Clone)? This is an AUTOMATIC Movement, 37.5mm diameter and seems to be very high end for low price...
Does wear big on you..I looked at these intending to buy one, I was left underwhelmed by the colour schemes available. Colour options are many and varied these days but this model I thought had very limited colour ways.

The beavers teeth at 12 are off center to the minute track. It's closer to minute 1 than it is minute 59 and looks really crap! This really jumped out at me, did anyone else notice?

I love supercompressors "real" or not. You get a dive watch that slides under your cuff with no issue. This one is very attractive as far as dials are concerned, I'm not a fan of yellow and yet the accents look great. I also like the crowns but, I'm not a fan of H link bracelets. I know that's personal preference though. Maybe an indie watchmaker will step up and sell watches without bracelets or straps for a discount to us enthusiasts who are just going to toss them anyway.
I own this watch for a year now in the limited grey colourway and in that time I probably wore it the most. It really is a great piece and Cornelius is a nice and smart guy!
You could habe added that the watch was developed with input from the watch community on the website or forums where you could actually vote.
But now I'm waiting for the review of the ProTrail. :)

I´ve bought one of these but with the grey dial just when it came out in December 2021. Its build quality is way above what you are expecting at this price point. Great watch, very nice contact with Cornelius, the re- founder of Circula. I am very happy with the watch.
Just a few days ago I purchased the latest model of the brand, the "ProTrial". That's a very interesting field watch with antimagnetic specifications and hardened steel case.
At this price point? The watch is close to a thousand USD. Look, the chinese are making some pretty good looking watches for 100USD. For 700% more money I would expect at least 300-400 % more finishing and detail than the Chinese watch. Much past 1500 bucks you're just buying prestige points Let's call a spade a shovel here . Breitling, Omega etcetera are 1200 dollar watches with 3,000 dollar names.
Hi Ben, thanks for your comment. You‘re right. These watches are not cheap. And yes, I‘ve tried a bunch of realy good looking cheap chinese watches and yes there are some very good exampeles for around 100 to 150$. But after all there is still a big difference in finishing, materials and movements.
And there is also an aspect of national proud so to say. I like to know that the workshop of Circula is only about 25km/ 15miles away from where I am living.
If you call that a regulated movement running at -8 s/day... and a elabore none the less. I've got movements from the 60' that run better than that.
If someone from the company reads this... How about the same watch, but with quartz movement and solar charging, for about the same price? I think it would be doable, and the overall quality would be even better.
It's nice, but in my opinion not nearly as Nice as the Chris Ward. I managed to pick up an new Chris ward SC for £550, and it's a fantastic watch. I wouldn't have been happy with the -8 spd
The shape of the watch has a 70s vibe to it for me.
Caution tape Yellow looks wrong on a watch to me. Otherwise I like it kind of.... A lot of Hamiltons are in the price range they are good value maybe this is too. Intersting dial.

The producer writes , it`s a real Compressor-case .Then it is a bargain !!!!👍👍👍👍👍👍 Most other watches from other brands are only lookalikes . The other producer i know with real Super-Compressor cases , Sherpa , sells it`s watches for 6000 € , a modern re - issued interpretation from the legendary Enicar Sherpa Super- Dive in excellent quality . Sadly the Chinese bought the name Enicar .😭😭
