I honestly have no idea why my daughter is so fast at Mirror Blocks. I'm quicker than her in normal 3x3, but somehow she recognises the mirror pieces so easily. Maybe one day I'll be as amazing as she is.

@christianandreasen7245 that truly blind mirror blocks suggestion *really* sounds great: makes it more unique from just a 3x3 event, and would be the only event where a blind & visually impaired competitors are on a really equal footing with everyone else, so has inclusivity going for it too.
As a technicality Olor was the first person in the Ting family to ever get a gold (In an unofficial event or not) It is kinda cool to think that Olor won an event before Tingman even if it is an unofficial event. Good Job Olor!!!
I'm still amazed at how quick she is on the mirror cube. It'll be exciting to watch her cubing skills develop over time.

Best comp I’ve ever been to! Every one that gets to be in tingmans vids has to finish what I started and say no way!
Its cause Olor is using a stickerless one and tingman is using the stickered one.
The problem with making mirror blocks an event is that Rubik’s brand mirror blocks has colors on it, so that wouldn’t be allowed, which wouldn’t go well with Rubik’s

I have just recently learned full beginner CFOP and now I’m not sure what to do as I am seeing no improvement in my solves no matter what I do (at the moment I am working on improving my f2l which usually takes 15 seconds) and tips on what I should do to improve?
F2L definitely slows you down before you get faster. Hard to know what to advice without seeing your solves but it usually has to do with inefficient finger tricks, long pauses, lots of rotations, etc. There are lots of helpful videos out there with lots of tips and tricks!

The mirror blocks is one of my favorite cubes
Definitely enjoyed watching this 3x3 with mirror blocks race and seeing someone actually fast doing it, truly amazing! I think it’s a great event, but if we add it as one we definitely need to remove an event. A non cuber looking in that sees 18 events, a lot of which are not easy to comprehend or even figure out what’s going on, won’t have the patience to continue watching or give cubing a chance. I think we need to create a simplified water downed version of cubing that is palatable to a non-cuber that might not have the best taste for a connoisseur. Does that makes sense? I would love to get your thoughts on striking a balance of not hurting existing cubers, adding new fresh events, while still making it easier for non-cubers to understand in order to grow cubing. Great video like always!
I honestly don’t think that the variety of events puts people off at all. Also it’s very very rare for a comp to have all 18 events. Most have between 5-8 events. I’m not sure what things are like in the states, but we have absolutely no problem with growth in the cubing community here in Australia 😆 Perhaps a watered down version may help elsewhere but we’re doing just fine here.
Also it basically only takes one competition for a totally new cuber to understand how it all works. I don’t see the current procedures as being alienating to new cubers at all. The only thing it may benefit is for non-cubing spectators, but that also begs the question - who is cubing competitions for? If it’s primarily for the cubers themselves, I think it’s doing just fine. If it’s for the general public, then yes we can work on understandability.
