You know, I always hated Lightning because it makes you drop your items but watching this video made me think about it some more and I realize it serves a few purposes. 1 - It prevents insane smuggling abuse that would make a 1st placeman untouchable 2 - It probably silently protects the 1st placeman from being absolutely overwhelmed with Blue Shells. Just think about how many times one of the many back spots got a Blue Shell and got shocked right out of it and nobody knew.
It's pretty awesome how you seem to understand the ins and outs of Mario kart, such as knowing when a shock might strike or when better items appear. How do you know all this?
I remember getting my first Mario kart game Mario kart seven and every once in a while would wait in the bath against the computers to get up on the best items including the lucky seven and that was before I even knew about Item smuggling
I used this as a replacement of Troy Voice Clip. And i smuggled Star and Triple Red Shells then i use the Lightning to attack the rivals as i using Switch.
i Think Smuggling only work because you can have 2 items at once. Mario kart 8 was made with the ulterior motive to own only one object. Now, of course, you can do all your tricks. Nintendo had to create added value and you are now the beneficiary of this action. It's a little bug usen for me. You of corse drive very well :)

Have you noticed that when you fall in water and lakitu saves you you are wet but when you are playing a stage like dolphin shoals or water park when you come out of water you are perfectly dry
