- As South Africans celebrate Nelson Mandela's life, they know there is still a lot of work that needs to be done. Racial integration is still a problem, more than two decades since the end of apartheid. Al Jazeera's Haru Mutasa has visited an interracial couple in Johannesburg to talk about the challenges they face.
She's pretty cute.. I could fall in love with her pretty easily. I don't allow anyone else to decide who I date. That will always be my choice.

It's a lot harder to be in an interracial marriage when the two people who are together belong to groups with racial animosity towards each other. That's the main problem with these kinds of marriages.
Indeed. I was travelling a lot but I always wanted a wife from my ethnic group (same language, same religion, similar background etc). We are together more than 20 years. I love Afrikaner people they have nice and unique language, history and culture.

Apartheid was not that long ago. Many people are victims of this horrible system that was once in place to oppress the natives. There are still disparities regarding race and economics in SA. Time will only make things better.

And africans did not come from the center but from the east(Ethiopia) then spread out. Not to mention that prior to European colonization they were mixing with incoming bantus such as the Zulu. They did not come from Asia, that theory is also false! And even if, it would still not make YOU an indigenous African so why waste your time? Whatever you call us doesn't matter this will always be our home, and its fine if you want to make it your also it was Mandela's (R.I.P) dream that we all share.
