I’m so proud of you, Aaron! I know it became a really rough journey but a true “Wellness Journey” includes those bad roads too. We all have them. Every form of refuge has its price. Stay well & take good care of yourself. You & your body, mind, spirit & soul are all you have to relate to this very rough journey for all of us. Now it’s back to wellness. So happy for you. I love you! ❤️
Keep losing that weight. It does so much good for your body. Less stress on joints. Less stress on your heart. Stay active keep moving! I am glad things are getting better.
I saw your van parked while I was visiting fort Bragg! My dad lived there for many years back in the 80's. It's really peaceful! I would return - I will say the ride down 1 was a bit intense. I have moved on to sacramento. Quitting any addiction is hard and is more than enough to throw anyone off! You should try the Keto diet!! Even dirty keto works. I went from 200 to 150 in 3 mo My van is a 2000 Honda Odyssey. A bit smaller but she's taken me all the way from Orlando, without any major issues! Take it easy bro!
Thats cool to hear ive done the same with alcohol, even had the same bottle of wine to see where i was at and got so sick Im not even going to bother anymore. Once you get far enough away from it its even easier not to consider it, the first hump it tough. All addictions are tough because the substance replaces your bodies natural abliity to feel good with its own dopamine produciton. The drugs/ alchool replace that and your body doest know how to feel good without those substances, why its hard to quit and easy to relapse because you'lll be left felling like crap with no way to feel good until your body eventually relearns those paths. Probably why youre enjoynig the gym its giving you the dopamine. A good tip to while getting off any substance, when you'll be lakcking the dopamine excercise will give it to you. Im also quitting weed to but find that harder and easier to put off, I quit before for 2 years and when I wasnt smoking i felt sorry for people who were thats how far removed I was from it. Strange how the mind works. And once you get off those substance and strat getting high naturally, wow what a buzz, the best one, off life, how we were designed, to persue our passions and have a good time doing it.
@mikejones-vd3fg Thanks! I do feel good. I didn't realize until recently that having ADHD makes me more prone to addiction, but I'm very relieved it's been smooth sailing so far.
