While side cover was off, checking camshaft play in bearings would have been good. Dad’s ZAS has that issue. It sounds like rod bearing but it worn camshaft bearing. 😊
I just finished cutting 1st crop. Lol. I hear ya about the rain. Glad to hear ya had a good time camping. Glad all the crap is in the bottom. My 445 was like that as well. I put fuel in there. Brushed it around. Drained it. Many times. Also took the pickup out. It will be fine afterwards.
Might be a good to invest in a bore scope to check inside cylinders and look inside the oil pans and in the under side of the engine.help in getting a closer look before completely disassemble an engine.the knock does sound troubling.good video.i like the detail.keepem coming when you have time.Thank You Sir.
put a straight pipe on it, you won't hear the knock (you will still feel it) LOL. my dad and I parked my granddad's Jetstar soon after it was making a similar noise and increase in vibration also the oil pressure would drop from 40 to 8 after several hours running a haybine, that's why I was joking about the straight pipe. I have an idea that it will be a plenty of work to get it right and running. please keep us posted on the ZTU.
U 😊😊 should took oil lines off and cleaned them out W a peace ✌ 😊 of stiff wire like U find at the hardware store then clean out W a air compressor that isn't going away I don't its anything on top the piston that sounds more like the wrist pin bushings or the connecting rod bushings if they are shiny they aren't no good they most likely haven't been replaced ever since the tractor 🚜 😮 left the factory brand new who knows if that tractor 🚜 got regular oil changes and running it low on oil doesn't matters none either unless the parts are just worn out 2 start W from all years of work and most likely the tractor 🚜 😮 engine hasn't been overhauled either 😮😮 OMG 8 8 2O24

Thanks for the sub!
Hey up, and me
Ditto!
Same here
Same as well
I feel bad about the knock. It looks like a rebuild on the motor would be best. Thanks Dan for another enjoyable video.
Squatch sent me! Thanks for helping him out with X253! Greetings from a fellow Michigander!
I’m new to the channel . Thanks for the video
Welcome!
Very interesting video Dan, I know now to check the screen in my engine when I change the oil. Mine hasn't run since 1975. All the best. Peter 🚜🇬🇧
Love that you have the stethoscope too. Dr. Dan is on the job!!

That noise sounds deep. Wrist pin or rod bearing. But I'm not up on the flat head mms.
Wondering why the front wheels on the narrow frontend tractors are cocked in at the bottom and not straight up and down.
Squatch 253 sent me too. Lol
Doctor Dan!
You’ve been Squatched ……
