- Metra's rush hour is one of the most amazing train events I have witnessed. Thousands of trains carrying thousands of commuters out of Chicago. Every couple of minutes a 10 car express zooms by at 80+mph. We also caught 4 Amtrak trains and 4 BNSF Freights.

Why do the bells silence evertime a train approaches and leaves the crossing
So you don’t have to listen to that noise the whole time you are at the crossing

Jesus Christ !. I enjoy trains but if I had to work with them all the time that Bell would drive me crazy.. gets annoying after a while.. other than that great video
Believe it or not, when you're the one running the train, it becomes very easy to forget about that damn bell. To the point where you'll accidentally leave it on.
