The song is about the emotions that a young immigrant woman feels in Paris, having to cope with racism and discrimination day in and day out.
It all started with this song. Diana herself said it's her visiting card. That was Diana’s first song in the unique competition 'You are Super' 2018 (age 14).
In 2018 and 2019 Diana entered a unique competition and won twice. This project is unique in the world, an international TV- competition: 'You are Super', especially for adopted and orphaned children.
The winner of the season will be determined by a 6-day public vote and the final took place in the Kremlin Palace and her videos were uploaded to TH-cam and soon she had millions of fans.
The project producers help the finalists start their studies and encourage their creativity. Diana won a scholarship.
Igor Krutoy, here as a juror, gave her a small apartment (37m²/398,26 ft²) in Moscow. There, in the small flat she lives with her mother and grandmother and was able to begin her vocal training with the best teachers.
Music and Lyrics written by Indila (born 1984, of Algerian descent but also Cambodian, Egyptian and Indian) is a French R&B singer, songwriter. 'Derniere Danse' was the first single from her debut album 'Mini World' in 2014.

You mentioned a lot of things that I have noticed as well. It’s not just the 1 in a billion voice. It’s the charisma, the emotional weight, the rhythmic swaying, the intensity, the mysterious tribal feel, etc. I’ve never seen another performer as fully complete and committed, regardless of age. Diana & Dimash
A French singer called Indila recorded this song with a video..the video depicting a troubled upbringing with little parental love. This version by Diana is very different vocally with a much stronger emphasis on acting the theme of the song..allowing the change in vocal style to describe the different emotions being portrayed. This is one clever lady who I’d be interested in seeing acting. This begs the question is Diana an actress or a singer…angel or demon? For me she is an almost unique singer with an incredible contralto vocal which she uses to great effect to bring out the emotion of the song. This is a very different genre of music for me but nonetheless it provokes interest within me. Yep, I think you liked it Sabina, recognising the twists and turns within the delivery. Great song, a very thoughtful reaction. ✅

Indila is the songwriter of this song...she didn't just record this one!...the interpretation of this one is more consistent with her own lyrics than Diana...with a very personal interpretation but a nice voice for her too even if completely different from Indila's

you really need to see this stage performance of her, when she was 10 years old. This is by far, the most favorite performance of her, for me at this age. The song is 'Oh darling'. This is posted from another account since she has only studio version in her channel. But, I prefer her stage performance since she can freely express herself in a stage than in studio(Although audio quality of studio version is of course better than stage version) but still. I bet you haven't seen her childhood performance when she was 10 or less than 10 years old. I would also recommend some of her performances at 11-13 years old

(I am not a professional but I have compiled information found on Diana's official website, in interviews and in reactions from singers and musicians)
Your astonishment is not exceptional! Diana is an unique contralto (dramatic contralto) her comfort range is C3-C6 but in constant evolution. Diana uses many vocal techniques rarely used in pop music (like overtones, yodel, and some from lyric chant....). The one that seems to amaze people the most is multitonal (polyphonic) voice. The root notes are enriched with powerful harmonics which can give the impression that there are several overlapping voices or an artificial effect which gives this result.
This technique is used in Slavic folk music, like Bulgarian vocal groups or artists like Pelageya (th-cam.com/users/OlegSemyonov73videos), the Russian folk diva. I cannot tell you exactly how these artists achieve this result, I was just told that it is linked to the simultaneous use of the different resonators of the human body and that such a mastery of the voice and of the breath with such a fluidity requires years of work, Diana has been singing on stage and has been taking singing and performing arts lessons since the age of 6!
She has become famous in the broadcast "You're Great!" ("You are Super"), a song contest reserved for children who have had a difficult start in life. This is the case of Diana who was mistreated and ended up in an orphanage at 3 years old.

Hello Sabina. I have been away for awhile. Had so much going on on my life. But I love your reactions and live streams.
And as NW fan I hope you will do NW concert stream again From Buenos Aires or some other than Wacken 2013. Even NW 2018 in Wacken had little different wipe because they weren't the main show. They played during daytime which is a rarity. In 2015 Tampere they started at night but in Finland summer days are much brighter than Denmark ,or mid Europian countries.
