The idea of aery on riven is that it's better for shorter trades. Her combo can proc aery multiple times since the cooldown is based on distance to the enemy. Conq is better if you plan to stick hard on your opponent but illaoi is not a champion that riven wants to stick on to aery is the better option to max the damage against you. You can he's not an Illaui main by how much he's aware of the tentacle proximity. An Illaui is happy when near tentacles, unhappy when far. Walking in to a bush with no tentacles? Scary.
When you mentioned ashe being full build, yet she had literally 0 arpen, I wouldve rushed wardens mail for randuin immediately rather than the tunneler you got, and told veigar to rush FH next
Game 1 10 min, bark is more vicious than bite. Threat of E allows you escape, she has way too much mobility + all-in, you cant toss e in unsafe places unless tanky
