I'm a diamond Thresh onetrick who has played over 1,000 games of Thresh top. a trick you can do is build bamis cinder which can kill the wave instantly with flay and you can hit the enemy with E at the same time and then Q to lock them under turret. This is especially effective with glacial since it's even more cc to your combo and they won't expect it 1/2 the time. You can also start more cdr in runes so you can do this combo a lot throughout the game. I was reliably solokilling people cheesing like this thru diamond this season
People freaking out over Thresh top need to get ego checked. There's plenty of Thresh top players, with a variety of builds. It's not even that freaky of an off-pick all things considered. Great vid as always though, Pekin. Look forward to see what else you end up picking top.
Thresh is one of those champs that just doesn't get old to me, IDK why. Guess it's just the really rounded kit. Not really S tier in anything (except maybe CC?) but cool theme and just has a really nice/fun kit. Fun to watch and fun to play in multiple roles. Glad we got a game 2. =)

Idk, I feel Thresh scales INSANELY well, better than Nasus tbh. Not only do you get a defensive stat from stacking, you also get AP which can allow you to build full tank and still 1 shot with hook. I think Thresh is extremely underrated for his scaling.

Holy moly, that 2nd game I was just wanting to scream at him to push out a lane, because you couldn't capitalize on any successful play. I get that low elo teams need a babysitter, but tp was never used for anything. Hollow Radiance seems like a really good first item, so that Thresh can get prio and not be shoved in lane/go for hooks. If you're doing ad thresh, then Statikk is probably decent for the same reason.
I play Thresh so It's wild to be able to see you actually misplay and still smash everyone. Some of those flays and ults were wild, but just good game knowledge etc wins out.
tip : Thresh is consider a range character in term of item effects, however his auto attacks are not consider projectiles. Use this knowledge to bully any Yasuo you want.
you gotsta play AD thresh now. theres a bruiser variant where you use titanic and bork as like a core build. then theres a full attack speed build using your e as more of an on hit rather than letting it charge all the way so you'll want on hit items lole guinsoos and then theres the classic one shot build using stormrazor and shiv and i think sorc shoes but i havent played this one in a while. I’ve noticed sometimes you say you’re dead when there’s still potential outplays and kind of doom yourself, not saying this is specifically one of them, but I’ve noticed it happens quite frequently and this could potentially be one of those times.

I feel like there is some kind of Jack of All Trades, Mana Thresh build that would be good. Fimbulwinter got changed so it benefits WAY MORE from bonus mana. ROA -> Fimbul -> Frozen heart makes it so Fimbul gives like 1k+ HP + the passive

Ok tbf I play a lot of skarner both jg and top and every time there's an enemy thresh it feels impossible to play. You E in? He flays you. You wanna walk away? Hooks you. Skarner is so slow that thresh gets free ability hits. You probably played this dudes worst matchup LOL.

It's so slow to stack that nasus definitely way better. Ending the game with 150 stacks isn't gonna do nearly as much as nasus with 700-800
