39:50 Smite now does almost no damage (40) to pets (changed in 13.15 and further nerfed in 13.20). Heimer turrets are just really fragile until you have a lot of AP and levels; the life scales heavily on AP (50% for ult, 5-45% (based on level) for small turrets) and the fairly low armor/MR scales with levels (30-90 ult, 10-80ar / 25-65mr smalls). Turrets also take 40% inc damage from melee champ attacks (though I think the ult turret was just chunked out by Kha Q + incidental damage here).
being a zoe one trick in challenger makes it very easy to play most champions to a very high skill level. zoe is exclusively spacing and skill shots. and just those 2 mechanics can win you most match ups regardless who it is.

if you arent playing a ranged champ then your only real goal is to learn how to farm well under tower. most melee champs cant do much to heime turrets without taking a significant chunk of damage, and with his turrets being a chargeable cd, he legit just chunks you for 20% health just so he can replace the turret you just killed a little further away so you can take another 20% health to kill that one too. rinse repeat until either alt+F4 or teammates come to ease your suffering. Edit to add MR really helps alot against him tho. the hollowed radiance item is probably the best counter to heime right now with aoe burn, aoe explosions everytime you kill something, and it being an MR + hp item
@@oliveguardian7757 early game depending on your ally minions targeting, 3 tower shots kill melee if you attack after the 2nd its guarunteed kill for you. 2 tower shots on ranged, pre 6 and pre buy you want to auto, wait for tower, auto to collect. Cannon takes 8 shots i believe before tower kills it. Just pay attention to your own minions targeting because there isnt a pattern nor a reliable method to handling them. Just bastardly gremlins that love to make you question your existance
I love your commentary and teaching! though, I'm slightly confused by the amount of times you walked slowly passed the jungle bomb plant and didn't use it. (i thought these helped you get around a little faster?) are you intentionally not using it to save for someone else? or incase you're ganked?
Pekin lied in the description! It's not "the dinger", it's "the donger". Or maybe sometimes "the donger thronger", or "the dongergonger". Never "the dinger". Now, I just wanna say: the way I see Heimerdinger ult is that you always want to use q, but sometimes you can't because you want it in the middle of the fight so you either have to run in or they engage on you. Or you can also drop it in like the baron/dragon pit or something. When there is no opportunity to use your q, you just one-shot enemy adc with your w. Also when you see a w angle on a squishy target, just press it, don't even think, it's a short cooldown. If you land all rockets they get one-shot, if you don't they get chunked, or worst case scenario - you whiff and don't land anything, no consequence since it's a short cd. Now your e you never wanna use, it's deceivingly weak. The best it can give you is short disruption when you wanna disengage enemy team instead of fighting. It's also some utility, so you can use it instead of w if you are far behind. Also if your team has like no engage at all, I guess you can use it as a makeshift pick tool. But under normal circumstances you just never wanna use it. I never like when I watch people play Heimerdinger and use his ult e. I'm like "Noooo! What are you doing? Your e is useless!" and sure enough I never see them achive anything with it. But I might be wrong about all of this, I'm not very confident in my Heimerdinger knowledge, as I'm not a one-trick or even a main, I play him rarely, this is just the whole idea I have about him. As for soloing the baron, I think it is possible, or at least it was. I saw Heimer solo baron on spawn, but you have to ult (ult q ofc) and I think you tank for your turrets, or the big turret tanks, I'm not sure, I would have to find the clip again.
q is the highest damage total with the lowest dps. w is the highest dps but is very easy to get out of. e is strictly aoe control to either setup or disrupt a teamfight.

pekin didn't they nerf smite on pets / turrets? or was that just a nerf to using it on tibbers + maiden? this was maybe 6 months or a year ago when they made some changes to this stuff so I'm not sure
Irelia completely craps on Heimerdinger top, cause as long as she's not behind she can just Q into the turrets and oneshots them, plus just grant her extra mobility

im a new player and played against heim for the first time the other day. Holy shit that little dude is a pain to deal with lol
