Thanks cool video so yeah im going to be buying a set of Ricaro seat's after watching this 😂 I've already got a rear seat delete kit in the car so I just need two fronts.
So, If I am understanding this correctly, not only is TMI's foam not filling out the existing seat covers, it ALSO doesn't fill out THEIR OWN SEAT COVERS???
Thanks for this video. I just bought the vinyl tmi set also for my 97 gt convertible. I only bought the foam for the drivers side. I’m really hoping the original cover isn’t glued to the foam on the passenger side. I’m also worried about these covers getting scorching hot in the summer with the top down.
Thanks for the video and help. The backseat was a royal pain in the a$$. Everything was glued. The only thing I don’t like about the back rest is I had white cloth or whatever they used to make the covers. The white material and the hog rings show when the back rest is on. You can see the hog rings and white material from the back of the car when the top is down. Definitely not liking that. I still have to do my front seats.
Did you use any listing rods for the back seat rest? I have about 35 rods I have no idea where to put. No instructions. TMI is off for the holidays. Fml
Properly maintained vinyl can last a long time. Trick is baby oil 2-3 times a year. Wipe on heavy, let soak for 5 mins then wipe with dry cloth. I known guys that do that on late 60's early 70's cars with original vinyl and they still look near new now.
That gauge cluster 🔥
Great video...Ox Man💯👌🏾🤙🏾✌🏾

The kit is not for everyone, I enjoy the kit and think it looks great. Ricaros are cool too!
@@Oxman_Garage no it looks great I'm just too lazy lol

I think you'll be ok, the front seats aren't that bad. The back bench seats have all the glue, which can be tricky to pull apart.

Two rods each go in the front seats I believe. And a few rods in the back seats.
but what do you do with the original seats???
Sold them
Did you say shrink the vinyl? Ouch, all that work for cheap material. Vinyl does not hold up to time and to use.
