I’m close to my 200th box from Stitch Fix. I’ve been blessed with great stylists that have listened to my requests. I’m a shopper. I can say at least half my wardrobe is from Stitch Fix. I’ve tried all the others and they are hands down winner in my book. It’s hit and miss with Amazon, and I don’t feel like the value is good unless it’s name brand

I never had good luck with Stitch fit. I was so disappointed in the quality of the things I did keep. I gave it 6 months and canceled it. Such a fun video Angela!!

Loved this video, Angela - so fun! I’ve tried Short Story… I’m 5 feet. Ugh. The box was fun at first and I kept quite a bit… but ensuing boxes really didn’t feel like stylist was listening. Some of the items sent I’d consider wearing 20-30 years ago! I’m 61 and don’t want to dress like a grandma (I am…) but I don’t want to dress like a teen or 20-something either! Maybe I’ll try Wantable… if they style petites… this fellow Michigander appreciates you!
I have never heard of some of these companies and that's probably a good thing, because most of the prices are OUTRAGEOUS! I agree with you that Wantable is the best option, but still not as good as picking out clothes yourself!
I had barely finished watching this when I received a news alert on my iPhone that a clothing retailer here in Dallas was closing it’s entire operation - not everywhere, just Dallas, as far as I know. The retailer? Stitch Fix! 558 employees without jobs. Didn’t read the entire article to see the date. But found it interesting in light of your video!
There were several items in your boxes that I really liked - but my favorite was the cardigan in black and cream window pane check! Gorgeous! And so on trend! But a lot of the items - well, what in the world were they thinking???

Wow! I believe it! My husband is a financial advisor and has seen Stitch Fixes stock plummet over time and he always said he didn't know how they were surviving!!
I briefly considered doing one of these subscription boxes before the panorama kept us all indoors. However, now that you “influencer” ladies (age 40+ in particular) have become so popular and awesome at helping us discover and style clothing from so many retailers (Walmart, Old Navy, Target to Banana Republic, Express etc) I don’t see the need for subscription boxes. U guys are awesome at putting outfits together, providing links, showing us how to work with accessories - It’s easier just to shop online, with the help of influencers who share my style preferences and/or my body type.

Angela. This is so old school and I loved every minute of it. Nope they haven’t changed much since you did them. I agree I love Wantable I get everything I ask for but stitch fix somehow always feels like the clear winner overall with cost I miss the old days when you did the style boxes. Wantable and Stitch Fix were definitely the best choices for you. My favorite is Wantable because their clothes are a little different styles. You got a nice Stitch Fix but I find I keep getting the same tired styles. I just get them when I want one now. Loved the video but I would like to have known the brands of the pieces for reference. In case I wanted to look up something I liked👍🏻.
Fun video. I say no to them all because I am way to picky about my own style. I am so glad you did this for us because it shows many subscribers what they may have wondered about this type of purchases.
I love when outfits are together. I've started a section of my closet that is full outfits, makes life easier. I work from home, so most of the closet is by type, but having the pre-made outfit is so good.

I love palm trees too! I’m originally from Indiana and now live in Florida. Maybe cause we are use to the pine trees in the mid west and palm trees scream sun and fun!

Anglea, try Rent the Runway. I would love to see a video with RTR, upcycling goes chic. I have tried many of the same subscription boxes and I feel you get so many out dated styles. Your first box was so dated looking and the last one with the super low cut KUT jeans with the skinny leg, yikes. All in all you make your video's so much fun to watch, thank you!

Yeah, there's nothing special about any of these clothes that you can't find at TJ Maxx or Marshall's and even Ross, for waaaaay less. I tried Stitch Fix before for three months and never kept anything. Also, surprisingly, a couple of the items, had TJ Maxx price tags on them. I couldn't believe they actually shopped local and then upcharged me.
Wow, I have never seen TJ Max items in a stitch fix. That is strange!

I love Chico’s for pants and shorts, great quality, but otherwise I buy everything from Marshals and TJ Maxx. I have no interest in buying anything from these “on line over priced box outfits”

This was fun! I'm glad you shared your honest opinion. I get StitchFix and Short Story Boxes. I used to get Wantable, but I thought their items were pretty basic and priced too high (and why do they charge tax on the styling fee?). I know the prices of Front Door Fashion and Trendsend are too high for my budget.

I really liked the floral dress . The rest looked like anything you could get at a Goodwill. I did the stitch fix box twice, purchasing 2 tank-type tops , it shredded at the neckline in the delicate cycle on the 2nd wash. I think the thread was dry-rotted maybe , $50 in the trash , the other top is in the closet, afraid to wear it , so another $50 wasted.

I tried them and not only was I clear on things I would never wear and colors that I would never wear, I kept reiterating that in stylist notes/feedback etc. One of the boxes from SF included everything I said I would NEVER wear in every color I would NEVER wear. That was the final straw combined with keeping things I just didn't truly love. You can get what you want online with better prices and often free returns, hence I won't ever do fashion boxes again.

I know Michael Stars clothes. Top quality. Dillards carrys them. I liked the necklace in box 2 better. The first box gave you more joy. I did love the navy dress with the roses. This was a lot of fun.
I love the white top and the black floral dress and the lime green cardigan in the Stitchfix box and I think you could take those items to Florida too!
I understand getting clothes delivered to your home during the pandemic or if you are handicapped or too frail to leave the house but under all other cirumstances go shopping, all problems will simply disappear if you are unsure about styling take a friend
Thanks Angela, This was so fun. I've always been interested in these services. Although some pieces were cute others seamed very dated. I do think I'd have to pass with these companies. Again, this was beyond fun.

I got my first Stitch fix box and was very pleasantly surprised. Absolutely everything was my style and fit really well. When I first opened the box I wasn’t sure but then I tried everything on and it was 100% what I was looking for but somehow generally pass by when shopping
I’m just busy, I don’t have a lot of time to shop but my wardrobe was getting outdated
Then I found when I did go shopping I’d buy way too much. So I decided to try a bi monthly subscription. So far thumbs up to stitchfix

I agree with one other commenter you can find these things and better at TJ MAXX, Marshall's and Ross even on sales racks at other stores, those were terrible!! I'll shop my closet I have good quality clothes and I can find things that are comparable to the things you showed.
I love shopping so much that I would never use a service like that. Since you initiate me to Walmart USA, when I see a regular price on a garnement, I think nah...Walmart must have it cheeper. I had so much fun looking at you doing this experiment. Thank you again for this nice video and I am too poor here in Québec to spend my money for this.

Totally agree....picked up several items at Walmart yesterday.....very pleased with price and quality and they work for my low key lifestyle......
I think Wantable and Stitch Fix are the best. I’ve tried Diva and Co but have had better luck with the first two. It also gives me a chance to know more clothing designers and then I can usually find similar at TJ Max, JC Penney and Nordstrom Rack. I shop online, but locally, and that way I don’t have to pay for shipping either way.
Your decluttering series has really helped me this season! As i switch my closet from spring/summer to fall/winter im being very mindful about what im keeping.

Angela, I have occasionally thought about ordering from one of these subscription shopping services, but after watching you with your treasures and try-ons,it's a hard no for me! I love the sheer dots layered shirt. I wish I had the company name and item number so I could locate it.
I didn't care for anything in the first box. Maybe because Im feeling fallish.The green coat I got at Kohls for $80.....mines longer though. The ruffle sleeve dress looks like one I got at Cracker Barrel for $45.The sweater with the holes is unbelievable! Now I like the second box better but not the prices. The green sweater vest looks like it was attacked by a flying cigarette. I think Trend Send is another name for Goodwill! Ok Stitch Fix had some cute stuff. Loved the dress on you and the long vest. I think I will stick to online shopping at kohls and Amazon but this was a great vid!

I used to order from Stitch Fix, and it was so hit or miss it drove me crazy. I'd receive one box and and everything was great, the next it was like the stylist read someone else's profile. Fun video though!

I love Trendsend. Im older and I buy less, but I have clothing pieces that a really love.
I thought the Trendsend outfits were the best for Angela. She looked great in all the outfits from that box.

Boxes are tough for me because I have a body type that is hard to fit and flatter. I know what styles and shapes flatter me and what colors look best. Even if a stylist understands my tastes, anyone who uses a style box is at the mercy of the inventory. The company may not have what you like and need in stock. For a few boxes I had a stylist who nailed it, but she left . ShortStory Box is even more limited because there are fewer items of petite clothing in the world. I find some good stuff with SF Freestyle, which gives me the best of both worlds where I have an algorithm narrowing down my choices to stuff I am likely to buy, but I have control over what comes to me. I admit I have been tempted by FDF, but you helped me beat the temptation.

Hi, I just found your channel as it popped up adjacent to one I’m subscribed to. You are funny. I watched the one from The Villages. I used to live in Florida and my husband and I moved back down here three years ago for retirement to be with family. We considered The Villages but it was a hard no. We absolutely LOVE the DeLand/Debary/Sanford area. So close to the beaches. Great info on the clothing box reviews. Love Evereve. You don’t have to always wear light colored clothing in Florida. It’s like any other place with preferences for seasonal wear.
Great video. I tried Stitch Fit for 6 months and wasn’t happy with the quality. And, it seemed like they sent the same thing every box. Nothing unique.

Oh, Girl!!! The prices are WAY out of the range I'd want to spend!!!! A couple of the things were cute on you that you didn't care for. That dress with florals did look good and actually, I think the duster worked with it.
I've watched many of these clothing sub boxes over the years and I just can't say I'd spend that type of money on them. If I find a piece that I truly LOVE, I'll spend the money but a whole box of expensive clothes...doesn't usually happen.

OMG, I loved this video! I tried Stitchfix for 6 months and it was frustrating. I would ask for layering pieces that would work for office and air conditioning. I would get heave sweaters in dark colors and nothing went together. I think I ended up getting a hoodie from every box, still for winter too. I even said no more hoodies and I’d get another the next month. I put them on hold until Dec but I should prob just cancel. It was fun but definitely wasn’t what I was asking for. Thanks for this video!
It was fun to watch you do this, because then if we ever get tempted, we will know to never do it! lol I have an idea that there are no personal stylists, the pieces are pre-chosen or computer-automated - it doesn't make sense to have the manpower. Prices are NUTS! I would never pay for this junk jewelry, I feel like these boxes profit from people that aren't able to get to their boxes in time, likely. You know, I started watching your channel because you had found some great outfits at Walmart, and in this economy, that's probably the best bet.

I thought the jeans and some of the tops you liked were super cute. I know you said you don’t like stripes, but that short sleeved navy and fuscia striped sweater was super cute on you, and the colors were so flattering. The colors made your eyes pop. i'm cheap i wont pay more then $20 for items only thing i might spend a lil more on is a good coat otherwise yea $100 piece can get me minimum 5 pieces at walmart they always upsell their clothes. I've tried various subscriptions and yes the idea of a package and someone picking for you is fun but in the end you're really better off picking for yourself.
Loved this video! You worked so hard to bring us this content! I agree with your statement about Florida fashion. I was born in Florida and lived there for 30 years before moving out of state. I had no concept of fall/winter clothes. We wore the same things all year! Bright colors, sandals, pastels are year round. We never bought back to school clothes, but maybe an outfit for the first day. To me, winter clothes was just in movies. 😅
