    Jen, would you do a video where you start your bread and then show us updates of how you use it different ways. I'm only one person so this would come in handy for me to only have fresh bread when I want it but not have to start over every time.

    Your kids have grown a lot over the summer! Love when we see you feed the animals together in that barn, & the chandelier is a nice touch.
    Your little pony could eat better with its own bucket of food though, I'd bet. Saw her unable to get to the food so walked to the side & just watched the chickens & ducks gobbling up whatever they could.
    She seems to be too gentle natured to muscle her way in to get as much as she wants. Maybe she needs her own bucket to feel less stressed & uncertain every time, having to wait until they move on, so just can eat whatever's left.

    I feel like Jennifer and I would be good friends. I live in the kitchen, it’s my happy place. Our kitchens might be small but a lot of work is done in there. Tonight I will be canning butter and vacuum sealing all of my pecans, raisins, different chocolate chips and caramel bits in jars ❤️💕 enjoy your evening.

    I love how y'all are so close. Your videos warm my heart. My husband and I have only one son, 31 years old. He was born with a rare, genetic disease called Lowe syndrome, and has been dependent on my husband and I for all his care. We are getting overwhelmed with his medical care and behavior issues. Hi. I absolutely love your program. I enjoy watching as you feed the animals. It’s so funny to see them follow you around as you get the feed for them. Watching Jenn and you cook, can and decorate the guest house has been inspirational. I am 72 and my husband is 82 years young, so farming and canning will never be a part of our life but watching you and your adorable children has brought us so much joy. And I bought the Comfrey salve which has truly helped my soreness from arthritis. In short God Bless you, your family and your farm and all your endeavors. Thank you so much for all the joy and laughter I get from your channel daily.

    Zack, I was always taught to never oil the pasta because it keeps the flavor of your sauce, whether it's spaghetti sauce or alfredo sauce. The sauce will stick to the pasta better if it's not oiled! That's what I was always taught!

    • @cindihuculak1964
      @cindihuculak1964 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Actually the oil prevents the sauce from sticking to the pasta. Add a little sauce next time to keep it from sticking together and/or pasta water.

    When I was a little girl, we lived in Omaha Nebraska, my Gr. Parents lived in Sidney Nebraska which is in the panhandle of Nebr. every Christmas we'd either drive out to see them or they'd come to R house. I loved it when we drove out to their house because we always headed out after my Dad got off from work, so we'd drive along the highways of Nebr. @ night. Mile after mile we'd pass farmhouses that sat out just past some of the fields & every so often a farmhouse would be upon closer to the Highway...
    I'd get to see the family moving around in the house if only 4 a brief moment as we headed out West. I'm telling U this because as I've been watching U all tonight it reminded me of seeing these people whom I'd never get to meet moving around in their kitchens as we drove by. the stars would be shining brightly in the heavens & the snow would be falling gently & silently to the ground...
    The snow would sparkle in the snowdrifts & my eyes would go quickly back to the house & I'd wonder what this family was doing, were they getting ready to eat dinner, or were they done & getting ready to do the dishes .... what did they have to eat. Then just as I'd wonder all of that, I'd see a tall figure come out of the backdoor under the porch light, & there always seemed to be a dog dancing around whomever was coming out of the house as if to say play W/Me or Feed me I'm ready to eat......
    Seeing all of U tonight in Ur kitchen has taken me back many years ago when I was 7/8 {64 now} as a young little girl looking out of the car window watching town after town fly by & wondering about all those people that lived in the farmhouses.... what were they doing, were they a happy family? all the while pressing my face on the very cold window as the snow fell silently down to the earth....
    What wonderful memories I have as we drove out to Sidney... & U all have taken me back tonight if only for a split second as I've watched Ur family moving about in Ur kitchen, laughing & having a great time together.....
    Thank You for sharing Ur lives W/All of us. U never know where Ur lives takes each one of us as we sit back & watch U just living Ur lives doing everyday chores, not even knowing how Ur lives affects all of us in 1 way or another if only for a moment....

    Something I do because I hate washing dishes…. Throw the peas in with the pasta to cook when about 4 minutes left of cooking. One less pot to wash 😊

    My Billy is a pretty decent boy. He's not terribly affectionate (that's fine with me!), but he has not shown any aggression at all. But, if it's got horns I'm being careful any way.

    I'm retired so the time change is not a particular issue, except it does play havoc with my circadian clock. I'm generally an early riser so I do enjoy the lighter mornings during standard time. However, I don't like the fact that it gets dark so early. So I guess I have to say I prefer daylight savings time.

    Watch the Old Alabama Gardener (OAG). He has a video on how to make and use the honey and garlic. It's medicinal if I remember correctly. He was a great gardener. May he rest in peace.
