    Well Dave, what a fantastic set up that is with that cable spinner you don’t have to worry about swapping the front end

    That's what i want to do. People tell me it's not good for your bevel bearing on the front axle?

    • @OhioHillTopsHobbyFarm
      @OhioHillTopsHobbyFarm ปีที่แล้ว

      It was a nice simple addition. I’d say you would never damage it with infrequent use, maybe after a lot of really hard pulls but I still doubt it.

    Assuming you’re using the chains to go around the logs, is that an east coast thing? Or using what you have, on the west coast all we use are cable chokers.

    • @OhioHillTopsHobbyFarm
      @OhioHillTopsHobbyFarm ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not sure if it’s a coast thing but it’s a chain choker, the hook end allows for the chain to slide through then the link turns sideways to lock in place. Thanks for watching!

      @@OhioHillTopsHobbyFarm 25yrs logging on the west coast never seen chain used before always used cable so I had to ask.

    • @OhioHillTopsHobbyFarm
      @OhioHillTopsHobbyFarm ปีที่แล้ว

      No doubt! Yeah a cable setup would be great if I had a skidding winch but the endless adjustment I can get with a chain really helps for skidding with the tractor. It’s hard to get the ends up high enough if I don’t get them good and tight. 🤠

      @@OhioHillTopsHobbyFarm that makes sense, cable works good for getting under logs and to the other side but at some point you always get a kink in it somewhere then there always a hassle.
