Boats with a single prop and rudder are very easy to handle, i`ve never used a boat with twin (or more) screws, and don`t need to, i can turn our 43ft boat around in the Ant near Wayford bridge very easily.
Quite common now for liveaboards to have negotiated unofficial moorings that the local authorities have asked the Broads Authority to support as those onboard being seen as vulnerable and in need of access to shops and GPs etc. As for the large hire boats... yes they often go at that speed when they crash into you as well!!! ;)
there was a couple that were properly in the middle of no where no land based access to anything at least an hour to somewhere you could get off to a road but hilariously one of them had a make shift pallet barge next to them with 4 very expensive ducatti's on it
@@DavesBoat Lol that 'mother frown' I remember it well !!!!! My mother also managed to couple it with a targeting sighting as, if I didn't react quick enough...... Crikey, to have grown up in an era where corporal punishment was a badge of honour! :)
Nice to have you back. Thank you for taking us along with you.
hopefully things will have settled down a little and i can get back to my regular schedule
Thank you for the video. Looks a lovely picnic boat. We need a loo when we go out for the day and to be able to make a cuppa.
