Two of the new friends I met at the Women’s Rubber Tramp Rendezvous allowed me to interview them and do tours of their homes, plus Charlie celebrates a birthday, I meet Bob Wells and a little chat about aging.

I hope you stay grateful for not only your age but how much life you can still live at 72. My mother never made it to 72 and was dying for many years before she actually passed away.
I’m so grateful for every day and feel truly blessed. Very sad to think of your mother and others like her. 😔

I wanted to mention for those that like to read there are communities and campgrounds that have little free libraries. They are shaped like tiny houses usually. I recycle my reading material that way. Books and magazines. They are free to take. That way you can take a book and leave a book without putting anything else in your van

Thanks for launching your channel and putting the call out for Canadian camper women to gather together. I'm a 66 year old who bought a 2001 Pleasureway in 2019. I work full time but camp about 35 nights a year - mainly weekend trips in Banff, Lake Louise and Alberta provincial parks. But a few longer journeys from my home in Calgary to the West Coast and Manitoba. Sometimes I'm on my own, and sometimes friends who own campers or join me. I did the longer trips on my own and admittedly, I didn't like travelling to unfamiliar territory on my own. You are an inspiration!

@@cdnbuddy5798 I follow cat lady van. She definitely has a heater because it gets below zero in winter even on Vancouver island! But it is the warmest place in Canada to spend the winter.
I have reached out to Emi a few times, but so far, I haven’t heard back. Perhaps I’ll see her on the road somewhere. I also nearly made it to a meet up, with Emi and Chrome on Prince Edward Island if I recall, but missed them by a day. 🚐❤️🇨🇦
Yes, Emi has a diesel heater, but she did go quite a few years without any source of heat. I’m very grateful for the mild winters on the west coast of BC. 🚐❤️🇨🇦
I came over to your channel after seeing Bob Wells interview. I’m Canadian also. I live in Ontario. I want to try car camping until I know if I like it and then buy a van if I do like t but I am nervous. And you are right we need more support and gatherings for folks living or travelling in cars, vans, whatever. I heard you are from West, I think I heard Vancouver. I have family on Vancouver Island. I would love to drive out there but again I’m nervous on my own and where to stay in my car along the way.
I have to admit that the first few nights, felt a bit odd, but in no time at all I was completely comfortable. I pretty much stealth camp all the time. If I feel uncomfortable for any reason I move on, but that has only happened once, or twice. I hope you get a chance to take the leap!

Very nice rig. If I was a solo traveler. And I had the twin beds i😢 would only sleep in one. So much easier to get in and out of. I don't want to have to climb into a bed. I need to be able to sit on the edge of the bed and be able to just swing my feet in

I did a 21 day road trip through BC and Alberta last spring with a combination of mooch docking and friendly driveways and traditional camping. I do like my electricity.
