    Again great video Caner. I'm hoping one day your channel will become big. Pay-wise Emirates is definitely one of the best as you've previously mentioned, plus tax-free:D. Good to see I have that to look forward to if/when I eventually make it to Emirates. Looking forward to your next upload.
    Side note I wanted to congratulate you on completing your first flights for United!!! I hope you have a long successful career there. Also, have you thought about doing cockpit videos? I know different airlines have different rules and regulations, but if regulations permit it, why not give it a go?

    Hi Caner, thanks for this interesting and helpful video. One thing you didn't talk about is whether the base pay is decided by the type of Aircraft you fly? Usually Co-pilots and Captains on the wide body aircraft would make more than the smaller planes.

    • @CanerAcarbay
      @CanerAcarbay  ปีที่แล้ว +15

      Emirates is an an all widebody airline. There is no small airplane :). Therefore, their basic salary is the same for B777 and A380 both for FOs and Captains

  • @glenfordburrell1076
    @glenfordburrell1076 ปีที่แล้ว +13

    He didn't mention the $180,000 cost of training, which Emirates deducts from its recently qualified Pilots.

    • @CanerAcarbay
      @CanerAcarbay  ปีที่แล้ว +8

      This is not valid for the most of the pilots because all new hires from other countries need to have an ATPL. It means that you must fly 1500 hours before you get your ATPL. Recently qualified expat cadet pilots can be disregarded from this equation since they are only a few compared to all pilots at Emirates. That being said, what you have said can be actually another video topic :)

    So with benefits (tax free+ paid rent ) it adds up to around 200-250K for the captain. Not bad but it could be way more. I think top U.S. captains make double that?

    • @CanerAcarbay
      @CanerAcarbay  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes but don't forget an US captain has to pay tax on these earnings whereas an Emirates pilot earns tax free. I'll be publishing a video that I compared a US Legacy Pilot salaries with Emirates Pilot salaries. I'll upload this video soon. Thanks.

    Hello Capt, I hope you are doing great 👍.
    I have a doubt, Is this the basic and flying allowance 8400 $ for a first officer who joins Emirates very first time or this salary is equal for all the first officers regardless of their experience in Emirates? I mean to say if a first officer is working in Emirates for the past 5 years and a newly joined first officer will both get same salary or different?
    Or is there any hike on yearly basis?
    is it possible that a first officer with 5 or 6 or more years with Emirates, can get more salary than a newly joined capt....
    Thank you very much for rhis video as I was very eagerly waiting for this video but bad thing is I have to wait for some more weeks to get the full understanding of salary of Emirates pilots.

    • @CanerAcarbay
      @CanerAcarbay  ปีที่แล้ว

      Most of the time salaries are the same since for the last 5 years EK increased the salaries only once. There is no way an first officer earn more money than the Captain. Hike in the salaries are based on company discretion.
