It's easy to say "respect yourself," but when you are not valued by ur mother and father really is unavailable. You never really learn that on your own.. I do respect myself and I do deserve respect. I am a stable, honest, genuine, authentic woman who doesn't Judge. I never did judge anyone else. Or correct them. I feel you need to pick the log out of your own eye before you worry about the stick in someone else's eye.
However, I have been in an unexpected situation. Where my partner was drugging me and having sex and partying with other much younger girls. And exposed me to them and others.
Plus, there were other very bad mind games.. total disrespect and devalued. But he has done that to someone else too.
To say you " don't respect someone" it's always because they have done bad, unscrupulous things. .because inused to have substance abuse issues That I have recovered from a very long time ago.
I changed because I had severe consequences. I got a great job after.
And was free of drugs. Didn't drink too much..I didn't have too

That applies to this video too. I don't want to sound negative, but watching this video and thinking that it will be enough to become wise is silly. If you truly want to learn to live by these quotes then you need to dig deeper than this if you haven't already. You can read an entire book about a concept that can essentially be broken down into 1 sentence. But merely reading the sentence will never give you as true of an understanding behind it as the book will.
