How Farms Work by Ryan Kuster is a TH-cam channel based in rural Potosi, Wisconsin. Our mission is to teach those who didn't grow up on a farm what the farming life is like. These videos show the Kuster family working together raising cattle and crops. We believe everyone who wants to know more about farming should be able to share the farming experience with us and we look to educate the world on many essential agriculture topics.
How Farms Work takes place on ~1,100 acres with around 75-200 cattle at any given time. Four John Deere tractors are currently used on the farm, which are a 4020, 4640, 7600, and 8235R.

Cool video!!! I would like to see a video of the upstairs of the old dairy barn like maybe how time has changed everything since your grandparents were there. Like photos like a video all about the past things even maybe have your dad and brother in the video on the great memories. Just a idea would love to hear and see the changes. Thanks Ryan for takin the time to make the great legendary videos. Have a good one!!

Yea after 8+ years I'd say it may be time to switch out that hay ground lol. I like the fact that Kuhn has an app that helps with that info, rather than a book that can get lost or a sticker that'll get destroyed. If possible I'd love to see some drone shots of cultivating this year. One of the few jobs were the 4020 gets to shine anymore plus that fresh turned dirt in between the rows just looks awesome. Great video as always Ryan! Thanks for the update!

@@ArnieD17 When I can get my dream farm up and running I would put solar panels on my buildings to power the lights in them and in the machine shed I would also use the bulk of the power to do a monthly half hour battery charge. Plus I can use the panels for the rest of my life and not have to pay a light bill in my buildings.

Kuhn makes a great seeder. It would be great if they dropped off a demo spreader. Good luck with great weather, record yields and beef, grain prices are high. You could always do custom field brush work. Cleaning up the English farm pastures was as great as when you raised the calves for Travis while in school.
