If you need to replace the shoe, there is a cut out at the top of the jamb, push the shoe up an wedge it out. If there isnt a cutout, depending on the material, use a boxcuter, or dremel to make a small cutout.

if the window has a spiral counter balance how do I remove the movable window?

If it is a tilt, you need to push window up, tilt window towards you so the shoes lock, and pop one side up and then the other when the window is still tilted.

I have tilt in windows that are 15 years old and my balance swivel is plastic but do not see my kind of shoe swivel has 2 notches that snap into the shoe pop out can't get the swivel to go back in the shoe very hard I tried is there a tool to snap the swivel back in?

Possibly. You can try charging the spiral by using the tool and following instructions in video or you may need new spiral balances.

The video was a bit misleading. You can't normally just lift the window out like that - it's held in place by two tabs which jut into holes the shoes; at least in my windows, which look identical to this. The tabs prevent you from just lifting the window up like that, where the shoe is left in place. You have to tilt the window outward at less of an angle, such that the shoe will still slide up (since the angle of the window determines whether or not the shoe will slide, due to the shoe's internal mechanism), and then angle the window out; in this case the shoe will be all the way retracted up - pulled up by the tension in the balance (if it is still functional). The reverse is true on replacement - the window has to be inserted at an angle such that one side's shoe is much higher than the other, and thus with one shoe up all the way, or almost all the way, retracted.
