Glad you are back!! I always watched your videos in the past and this is the first one since you came back. It looks like your form mechanics are different. Can you talk about the changes (if any) that you have made?
Preciate the support! 🙏🏽🙏🏽 I think just the lack of playing my form changed a bit. For the most part I honestly don’t focus much on form now days. I just try to stay loose and throw naturally as if I were playing catch. And commitment is also something I try to focus on
I picked up a trail recently and it’s pretty understable for me too. I’m going to use it to work on my hyzer flip game since I tend towards flat/anny release. I bag Fisson Photons as well and the trail will probably make it in for turnovers (I needed something not as extreme as my hades lol)
The trail tends to ride the line you put it on, hyzer, flat or anhyzer. Been throwing it for a few months and can tell you it depends more on your release. If you like the crave and hex, trail is for you. It acts literally like a bigger hex or crave.
I’m a big crave fan. And I really like how the trail feels in the hand. I just really hate how flippy the one I got is and it sound like from other people there is a lot of variation in the trail
@@discgolfjustice i like the crave too. I bought a Trail factory second few days ago and a factory second glow crave. The glow has a bit more dome than my neutron one. Haven't thrown either yet. I've noticed with some that it generally glides more with more dome but usually more over stable. And I noticed the colors you were talking about in another comment, I've noticed SOMETIMES colors matter but for me, it's usually the density of the flight plate that changes the flight. That's my some glow are more stable but some are not. I don't do TH-cam content but I still do a ton of experiments with colors and domes and flight plate density and thickness. Let's take an example you may know..... Innova G star vs Halo. Halos are famously more over stable than the rest of the lineup. That is something that throw those plastics agree on. The i like a Wraith. I have many and have taken two, one g star and one Gurthie Halo, exact weight, exact dome and dimensions. I measured. The difference mainly is the flight plate flimsiness and thickness. Two completely different flights. Some manufacturers use thicker plastic in their glow. That's why some people think glow is more over stable. But I have another wraith and it is glow with a g star thinness and it flips over when I toss it out of the box. Some colors are also stiffer because of the composition of the plastic and some colors come out stiffer. It itsnt always true but definitely majority. Again, this is all my personal experience on research and speaking for myself and a few others that noticed this too.
Dang man you know a ton about this stuff! This is a part of disc golf I essentially have 0 knowledge on. Like when some people can pick up a disc and can tell if it’s under or over stable. I can’t do that lol
My trail is a signature disc and is not as flippy as I see yours fly... mine flips to flat and pushes to a light fade ... If I throw it flat and hard it will turn over but I have to try and make it.
@@quadrumvirate86 yeah the Soda is my favorite understable 7 speed. I’ve never thrown anything but the Infinite exclusive glow Tone Soda. But those are amazing. The Tone can handle a lot of torque or be thrown with less power and still get a nice S-shaped flight.
I bag a trail and a Dynasty(Same numbers as a undertaker). The trail is more under stable, but it seems to be more sensitive to nose angle and wind than most discs of its class. I don't pull the trial out unless its calm day or a tail wind. If its a tail wind, its a bomber throw it flat and it will turn and fade out perfectly, honestly easy distance. The two I have fly differently though, one is green with significant dome, while the other is blue/white that is flatter. The dome one seems to be more under stable.
I would say mine has pretty good dome support to it. I’ve heard the blue ones are more stable so I’m actually thinking about ordering one. And a little heavier. Otherwise if I bag this pink one it would only be used for easy turnovers and on tailwinds like you mentioned
Have you ever tried to throw more from chest height and not stomach? I almost never throw nose up now having my "power pocket" up higher. Just a thought, nice to see you tossing again!
@@discgolfjustice I've coached baseball and played college, and I'm good with forms and learned them from other people, I see you are pretty strong and have power but it seems like you also rush your throws. I say that because the same shit I did until I was told to slow down, get settled in, then start my motion or run up. I was a pitcher and learned this early on. I wouldn't know jack and shit if I wasn't told, it's harder to learn on our own. Thanks for being open to my opinions, that's very stand up as a gentleman. I was stressed and depressed for a long time. Disc golf helped me SOOO dang much. I won my first ma3 tournament Dec 14 and that was great. Never came close before. I just stuck to routines and got better. Progress is a beautiful thing. Unfortunately, I don't have anyone around that I play DG with, but it helps me focus on my game. Cheers and keep up the good good work!
This disc seems to vary a lot in stability. My trail is the same as yours, really flippy, and my friends Trail ismore stable, a true -1,1 disc. I'm going to get another one, but its gonna be from a physical shop so I can compare the parting-lines and dome. Might wait for a Proton or Eclipse release though.
My favorite plastic is fission but if mine is already this flippy I can’t imagine how flippy a fission one would be. I might try another one I hear the blue ones are more stable
I don’t want a stable one but I also don’t want a flippy one hahaha I’d just like a regular one. I was blown away on my first shot when it popped up and turned over
Ya seems like they have a lot of variation. I’ve also heard that pink colored discs are more understable but I’m not sure how much truth there is to that 🤔
My first run Trail flies like a Firebird and I know it's not my arm cause flip up Wraith is my main drive. All of my MVP discs except Glitches and Watts have wildly different stability than the numbers.
Glad your back duder.
Been watching since you chilling down under
Preciate that! Feels good to be back!

That’s pretty much exactly where I’m at with it 💯
I've seen the Trail fly differently for everyone. I just got mine yesterday so I'll try it out soon.
Hopefully yours flies a bit truer to the numbers!

Never thrown any of’em. But I would suggest checking the Clash Cinnamon out. 9/5/-1.5/2 mine flys incredibly straight.
I think the only disc I’ve thrown from clash is the Wild Honey and it was really nice so I’d be down to try out so more of their lineup!
Love the Soda from clash as well
I’ve heard of that one it gets a lot of praise!

The trails have been inconsistent on the stability front. Mine is overstable. It doesn’t flip even in a decent headwind.
I really wish the one I got had a bit more stability to it. Really wasn’t expecting it to be so flippy
@@discgolfjusticeI’d trade you if you’re interested, but you probably don’t want one as overstable as mine.
I don’t want a stable one but I also don’t want a flippy one hahaha I’d just like a regular one. I was blown away on my first shot when it popped up and turned over
Some Trails are straight but torque resistant with a reliable fade and others are really flippy with very little fade.
I must’ve gotten the flippy kind 😔
I have 2 trails one flies like yours understable the other is stable to slightly os.
Seems to be a lot of variation in stability for this disc. Surprised they haven’t ironed that out since it’s been out for a while
😂 They must be really inconsistent. My Blue Trail is not as understable as your pink one. My green one is overstable.
Ya seems like they have a lot of variation. I’ve also heard that pink colored discs are more understable but I’m not sure how much truth there is to that 🤔
Photons are so money
Couldn’t agree more 💯
My blue trail is like a 10 5 -2 1 for sure
That sounds more like my pink one. Or maybe even -3. But I’d give it like a 6 glide
I rip mine on a hyzer and it flips up and rides straight with a baby finish
That’s the flight I was expecting. Really surprised by the understability of the one I got
I use the trail mostly for turnover shots it holds the whole way.
After throwing it I would definitely say if I end up bagging it will be strictly for turnover shots or big tail winds
I have a red 178 trail thats a beefcake and i have a 168g one that will flip up and hold .
From the responses everyone is saying there’s alot of variation in the trail. From weight to color to dome it seems to be a lot variation
Throw next to the teepad when it’s snowy or icy!! Also trail is the flippiest disc in my bag, gotta give it a lot of hyzer
Ya I either have to give it alot of hyzer or power down on it. I do like how much glide it has tho!
Not consistent disc.
SE trail works like a bigger crave.
I have two L2s from Gyro boxes and I can’t keep them from burning over
I wonder why they have such a problem with this disc? Because mvp is usually really consistent with their runs
Right?
90% of my bag is MVP brands
I bag primarily Discraft and mvp with a few other mixed in here and there. Never had a problem with mvp consistency before
You need to get a red or blue one 174-175g they will fly more straight the pink ones are very understable
Might have to order me a blue one 🤔
Do it I aced 2 times with mine then threw it in a lake 😭
I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy! Haha hopefully your replacement is another money flier
My first run Trail flies like a Firebird and I know it's not my arm cause flip up Wraith is my main drive. All of my MVP discs except Glitches and Watts have wildly different stability than the numbers.
My Trail is a meat hook.
Seems to be a ton of variation in this disc. Wish they would get that under control
your trail is broken wth, ive got a 164g on thats more stable 🤣
lol ya pretty sure I mines got a defect 😂
