The first question is about the important skills of project management. However, you answered what is project management. The answer should be around leadership, communication, managing project in a stressful time, conflict management, stakeholder management, and so on.
Started watching your videos just yesterday in prep for my PM initial interview today. Now I have to prepare for my final interview with the company's President on Monday. Thanks Adriana! Your videos are a big help. Wish me luck! Do you have any tips?
Hi Lorna, I am so excited for you! Just be confident and do as you did for your initial interview. Wishing you the best of luck with your final interview! Cheers!
The best interview advice came from my husband...share your strengths and weaknesses. Don't end up somewhere where you don't fit. Sharing how you handled a difficult challenge will share more about your strengths than listing them out. Great tips, Adriana!
Such a great prep video for anyone interested in working in project management! Great way to gain confidence in your skills and value to a business or company.
Love how you explained the purpose of all these project manager interview questions! Really helps to understand why the question is being asked and what the interviewer is looking for.
You did a great job of providing questions to think about. I think your answers to the questions could have been more detailed but this could be your strategy
AG, you are the best. My daughter is at Univ and I suggested a PM course. Not only is univ course a self guided power point, but boring, big language barrier, and the prof is not at all enthusiastic! I feel so guilty. Had I found you prior to selecting class schedule....well she would not be regretting this decision. LOL. I know when she completes this semester, I will encourage her to SLAY with you and wrap it up the right way.
Thank you so very much! I do have a 45 min webinar that I think would benefit her as well. In this free training I walk you through the five key items needed on all projects, it's what I call the FAB FIVE FUNDAMENTALS OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT. The FAB FIVE are the 5 key items that you must do on every project - if you only do 5 things, these are them! It’s a great way to simplify projects, while still doing the essentials needed to ensure project success. Save your seat here: www.slayprojectmanagement.com/webinar Thanks for watching, cheers!
Thank you @Adriana, this is really a great video for preparing an interview. Every question was well explained and it is also helpful to get an idea what interviewers are looking for while asking this kinda questions.
Hi Raman, I am so happy that this video will help you to prepare for an interview as a project manager. I also have an on-line course that your benefit you as well! Check it out: adrianagirdler.thinkific.com/courses/slaypm Thanks for watching, cheers!
This video is tagged as helping with a first PM job intwrview, but your answers to every question tells the interviewee to discuss their previous PM successes and how they overcame PM challenges... That would be hard to do if you haven't been a PM before.
You would be surprised at how other experience outside of project management are actually related to projects and managing them. If you have ever worked on anything that has a start and end date, it’s a project. So one may not be in a PM role but have probably worked on projects. Hope this helps cheers!
Of course you can. Project management is not just within the engineering world. All types of industries need project managers. Thanks for watching, cheers!
Thank you for the video! I have an expert, process management consultant interview coming up, do you have any suggestions, advice or answers for this type of role?
I would suggest you get familiar with the company you are interviewing with. Visit their website and take a look at things like their company mission etc. Wishing you all the best with your interview. Cheers!
Hi Swapnil. I would suggest watching this video again and taking notes. For example the question how do you keep your team motivated could be an asset that you list in your resume. There are many different ways to layout your resume and google is a great place to find resume templates to work from. Wishing you all the best, thanks for watching, cheers!
Great questions, but these answer is bunch of .....???? I don't know even what ? Have you bought this positive comments because after watching this video I know nothing.

The importance of having transferable skills
Maybe if you had provided sample answers to all the questions, it would have been impactful. These are very generic in nature.
Thanks for watching. Hopefully this video still gave you some good ideas, though. Cheers.
